We know who are sad for not making it...
by Bali Reddy on Apr 04, 2007 08:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You all famous HARD EARNED and STAR Palyers of the country happy with resignation of Greg Chappel. But you forgotten to learn some basic facts and hardcore ideas, strategies from our (you all players are blamed for making him scape goat for your selfish needs and upmanship in the team) coach to become great team (not like traditional indian team who aspires to get in to the team with lot of hopes of to become billioneers on this platform).
All players are selfish except one or two good players who really cried for not making India in to super eights..we knew who are those (Captain: who doesn't hold players as a team with bunch of selfish, greedy players like Bengal Tiger, ZK, Chucker, Nawab of Delhi, GOD from Mumbai and Fans: Many who watched with lot of hopes on these famous five idiots)

No coach whether from Indian or Abroad can change these players attitude towards the game except themselves to retrospect into their commitment to the team winning and flying Indian Colors with every win.
Hope all these famous stars or dada's or models will be removed from Indian Team and get fresh faces with bunch of quality, aggressiveness, committed and NICE guys to make better team for the future of Indian Cricket.
What do you say all Indian Fans......?

Great Coaches need to great managers
by saurabh srivastava on Apr 04, 2007 08:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At the end of the day one has to be judged on the results one has produced and undoubtedly Greg's stint is unlikely to be remembered for great results. His legacy is clearly a broken team and the scars will take long to heal. As a coach your first resposnibility is to win the confidence of the men you are supposed to coach and then make them see things your way, make them beleive in your vision. If you fail in doing that then being a great cricketing mind is of little help. This is where Greg's failure lies. That is a tough job it is far easier to shoot letters and emails complaining about all and sundry and especially better if they are also leaked to media. This is not to absolve our players in any way. They are also responsible for the failure of the team . But to deify Greg just because you are not happy with the guys you actually loved all these days is certainly not the best option

we as Indians should not be too bothered about Gregs legacy or go about blaming him, yes greg did some wrong things and he is not a good coach but nobody can do anything if India loses to Bangladesh

people in india hardly understand the words decency and professionalism. we are good at backstabbing, always poking into others matters and feel happy if they are struggling (i call it indian racism) and other complex things of life.
who likes honesty & simplicity anyway, not in this part of world.
we know everything, we dont need rules and people like u.
good luck to you mate.. only if you were really honest to your job as indian coach.

I really fail to understand why we are supporting Greg Chappell here. Don't you guys see that Indian Team has been in the middle of all the controversies and loses ever since he was appointed as the coach? We never had a single problem with John Wright, and then this guy comes along and the whole team is under tremendous pressure.

I admit the players have their own faults, but Greg Chappell has a bigger role in weakening the team with his "divide and rule" strategies. His contribution to the team was hardly anything to remember, except for bull shitting against the senior players. Yes, I do understand that the senior players have failed to fire in world cup and other important matches, and they are also to be blamed, but, I knew Indian team will be in a deep trouble ever since they hired this man for coaching India.

Stand up and be an Indian and support the truth. And the truth is Greg Chappell only pushed the Indian team to its new low, whether you accept the idea or not.

Exactly, well said Mr. Sudipan Mishra. U have told the exact truth. Since Dravid, Chappell, Kiran More took the guard, they have pushed the Indian team to the bottom. It was doing extremely well for five years under Ganguly and Wright.

Grow up man. what jayakrishna has written is absolutely right. You so called north inidans are self declared smart asses and good for nothing. you guys are roudies(take bihar and UP) or racists or beggers. If u r so proud of north india. why u come to south(to eat south indians shit?).Look what u have done to b'lore.

See it is becoz of the so called North Indians only, India is independent country. Look throughout the Indepdence it is only the North Indians who fought like Tigers for India's independence, whether it is punjabi, bengali, UP, for eg: Subhash Bose, Bhagat singh, Gandhi, Mangal Pandey, Nehru, etc, list is too long from North India, it won't end. But there is not even a single South Indian came forward for India's independence, it is becoz south Indians r crook, selffish, narrowminded, and shortsighted.
Regarding Bangalore, it is only the North Indians who r holding the economy and taken bangalore forward. Look at MG Road, Magestic, the big businessman, bigger economies r held by North India. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi r also the most posperous states in India.
It is the kannadis, who have polluted the bangalore, kannadis should be thankful to the North Indians. It is becoz of North Indians donation only the engineering colleges in bangalore r surviving, and poor South Indians r getting a chance to study in their state through North Indians Money.
Look at Army, all the paramvir chakras r won by North Indians, not even a single south Indian got it. Most of the big big businesses r only held by North Indians, like Mittals, Jindals, Ambanis, Tatas, etc. Even Azim Premji is also a North Indian. From South except Narayan Murthy no body there. North Indians r self declared smart becoz they have contributed. South Indians have nothing to show anything worth except their dirty politics.

I think u did not go well thru histroy my dear friend. I am just giving the list of some south indian freedom figthers.
Chakravarti Rajgopalachari
Krishna Menon
Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathi
Mathai Manjooran
P.J. Sebastian
Pattabhi Sitarammiaya
Sarojini Naidu
Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan
Srinivasa Iyengar
V. O. Chidambaram Pillai
and First army cheif
General kariyappa.

These are all from the south indians. U talk about the economy and b'lore. After u guys pour into south bangalore become dirty. I can imagine the condition of people in north. Take bihar, UP and madya pradesh. People see the food once in three days forget about eating. Look at the education, health and other matters. U know one thing Banglore was beautiful and had rich people before u guys come down. Now all native kannadigas left to USA because of u guys. I can understand why kannadigas should be thankful because of u guys. U only pointed out that because of north indians donation engineer colleges are surviving that it self tells the education level of north india where u don't have even proper schools colleges or universities. U come to learn from kannadigas how to live. Have u ever heard the communal violence in south india even though we have most of the minorities? Can u ever heard about the marriages of the girls with trees, snakes (I was asked by a foreinger that is that true india?).

Future Plans
by Angad Varma on Apr 04, 2007 08:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is no point of crying over spilt milk, no matter who is responsible, we now need to look ahead.
India need someone like Steve Waugh who was one of the best leaders in world cricket with innovative strategies, determination, courage to perform under pressure and his fighter instincts will be of great help. With regards to the other staff we desperately need a fielding coach someone like Jonty Rhodes who will help increase awareness as to fitness on the field and a bowling coach like Kapil Dev.

With respect to players we first need to ban all ads that they are part of and the media should stop making them overnight heroes, they need to focus on the game. We need a balance between experience and youth and current form should be the only criteria for selection. Rahul should continue as Captain and should have full authority in team selection.

We must pesevere and focus, all teams have gone through a slump sometime but the real test is whether we can overcome it. Come on Team India work for the interest of the Game only.

Hi Angad,

The points that you have raised can be understood. No doubt every Indian cricket fan is dissapointed after the World Cup debacle. Indian Board has lot of money and they can appoint Steve Waugh, Johnty Rhodes and Kapil Dev. But will that alone solve the purpose??? I really doubt. The troouble is if Steve Waugh would come in then again he would resort to tough measures. He will try to take out the the "famed" players from their comfort zone. And then we would see the whole team complaing about the coach. I think top players have taken their place for granted in the team. I dont say that they havent or they dont try to do their best. But... the problem is that they have been failing very regularly now and for quite some time now. Board always says that they will pick players on their performance but it is not seen in their selection. Even if some new players are picked they dont get to play any matches. Sachin, Sourav and Rahul have done a lot for the Indian cricket. They have nothing more to prove to the world. They have been great players but they would not be there in the next world cup (coz of their age factor i mean) So I think we should take this oppurtunity to inject fresh young talent in the team. They will not give immediate results. Might loose some matches (which we are in any case) but I am sure that if they are correct guidance then India has a better chance in the next world cup

When will Dravid resign ?????
by Birju on Apr 04, 2007 08:32 PM  Permalink

Shameless Dravid must also go with Greg - see how shamelessly he is enjoying extended vaccation at sea beach. Without greg Dravid is a blindman as captain. We will be blanked in the hands of B'desh in the test series also. Make Sacin / Ganguly captain and Yuvi VC. Ask Dravid to spend a life long holiday in the beaches and if he finds a TV set there let him watch India returning to the winning ways without him and Chappell.
