Instead of going to the media and slamming Chappel, Tendulkar should retire from Cricket with whatever self-respect left. No doubt he was a great player once upon a time. Had he contributed 17 years to Indian cricket (as he said) as a great player, Indian cricket shouldn't have been in such a pathetic state now. People want good performance and not his heart and soul. The decisive match with Sri Lanka during the ongoing world cup, his contribution was a big Zero. And on paper, he is supposed to be the master blaster! This shows what his contribution was. He is so greedy for money and fame that he is defending his pathetic performances like hell to hang around till he can milk more money in whichever way possible. As can be seen, during the last few years, he performs in one match to get a century for himself for records and then relaxes in the next numerous matches. He is making a sorry figure of himself and I really pity him. He has damaged Indian cricket beyound repair by hanging around without any positive contribution.

i pity u... u dont have any understanding of cricket... otherwise u would not have said this.. even the last year his batting average was better than most of the indian players... You cant make him scapegot for the dismal performance of the team..

Averages can be betterd by scoring against Bermuda ,Bangladesh(till last Year) and other Z grade teams and where others have scored also and won the games. Show us when he single handedly saved India from crisis like Kamran Akmal & razzaq saved test match when Pakistan was 145 for 6 on 4th day and everbody thought india will win before lunch but match was drawn and both these played patiently . i can remember only one instance when hemade first 100 at lords in 1990-91 and saved match .After tht he was never man of crisis.

i have 3 words for u man...... u suck bigtime criticising great sportsmen like this....'if he [played 17 years and contributed to indian cricket why is indian cricket like thi'...well i would like to remind u that cricket is a team game.is it his fault if his tem mates are a bunch on nerds and the collective responsibilty always falls on him.... if u r a true sportsmesn u won't be talking like this...well i play hockey but still i admire this bloke who has unvieled a plethora of unimaginable achievements....no one can be compared to sachin...even i would go to this extent that not even sir don...because he never had something called a pressure of 1billion fans wanting him to score a hundred everytime he entered the field to bat.... so why don't u just shut up and learn to gv respect where it is due.?

Correct , He never has saved india in crisis. crisis was 145For 5 :-- when Kaif &youraj won match Ag england--324 Dravid/kaif ag Pakistan 5ODI in Pakistan Suresh Raina --recently one match ag Sri lanka At the time of need he got out sometimes w/o score or befor 20 runs. Just check records .
Greg Chappel and Saurav Ganguly are the two men responsible for the destruction of Indian Cricket Team.
Saurav left home as if he had achieved his target and was received in Bengal in the same fashion.
From the day one Greg was after Sachin and going to media and keen to hear Sachin's retirement retirement.
Sachin at last open his mouth. Sachin is a great player and he can come back if he is kept at ranji level for sometime.
This is the first time Sachin is going through this trauma. And Sachin enough running around tantrics and Pujas, please concentrate more on your eye-sight. Once you get that u will be again master blaster.

What is happening is that the socalled Senior Players whose mediocre performance and lack of application and attitude which has resulted in the debacle in World Cup are trying to find a scapegoat in Greg Chappel. It is high time these Sr. Players are ceremoniously kicked out of the Indian team and try to get young blood and groom them for the future.

Roopa .. Vishy Anand who never won when Kasparov was around (and use to clean Kasparovs shoes).. Will you ask him to retire if he falls to number 2 tomorrow.. ..Atleast Sachin and Sourav stay in India.. Anand stays in Europe and you people still praise that traitor. Answer this logically and then kick Sachin Sourav out.
Tendulkar just answered the question of how he feels about what chappell had said about the seniors' attitude.. He just said, that "He feels hurt"... What is wrong in that... The irresponsible media, as ever, is twisting words to take the meaning completely away from what tendulkar actually intended to say... Look at the words of the media.. Tendulkar lashes out.. Tendulkar slams... bull shit!!! When somebody says he feels hurt, is it lashing out, or is it slamming someone... It is just answering questions...
And I didnt expect this from Niranjan Shah.. He did not know what Tendulkar has actually said and started telling ppl that tendulkar should not have done that... bull shit guy... Accept things at their face value..
And media should also project things properly without decorating it themselves...
Pity the Indian people with these irresponsible Evil Media....

Excellent point. Ever since India's exit from the World Cup, the media has been giving its own malicious and irresponsible spin to everything that anyone related to Indian cricket has said.
They are responsible for creating a lot of the distrust floating around and this, more than anything else, has hurt Indian cricket and created an atmosphere where no statement is ever reported truthfully. For example, some of the questions that Niranjan Shah has supposedly been asked - how do we know that the questions were worded exactly as reported by Rediff? I am convinced the question actually asked was different and this is just Rediff's spin on it.

On the contrary, I would say that the journalists who posed these questions themselves are responsible for spinning it off. Why blame just Rediff, I am disappointed with the entire India Media crew.
How did Chappel behave with the team? Was his approach dictatorial? Were all the players fed up with Chappel? What did Sachin say to the media? HOW IS ALL THIS CONCERNED WITH THE DISMAL PERFORMANCE OF THE INDIAN SQUAD IN THE WORLD CUP. I fail to understand that why the performance of our players is not dismal in the AD commercials they shoot for? Why only their cricket performance gets affected by the rude behavior of the coach.
Did chappel come on the ground and held their bats and balls, did not allow them to his shots, take runs, take wickets? what did he do exactly? There are many such questions I am sure Sachin or any other player will not be able to answer. I strongly feel this is all a eye-wash to cover up the worldcup loss and also to divert the country's attention to this petty conflict between the coach and the players.
The bottom line is that the unprofessional behavior of chappel (which nobody has seen and experienced expect the players) cannot be the only reason for the loss. How are other teams playing so well? I am sure there also must be some conflicts in the team. Where there are people there are conflicts, you have to live with this. I strongly urge the board and the players not to cover up your shameful performance in the world cup and own responsibility for the same. Now chappel is gone, lets see how these bunch of flabby jokers are playing. does the board and sachin guarantee that the team's performance will be at the best as chappel is no more the coach now? Guys, give us a break, people are not so foolish to take all this. stop concentrating on millions of ad revenue and play cricket. or just leave way for other deserving players who slog their years on kinda azad maidans for one chance.
Sachin tendulkar is just trying to run away for his failure by passing the buck to someone else! yes he is just trying to generate a sympathy wave for himself. if he feels broken down and shatterd my greg's statement then MR TENDULKAR THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR YOU TO HANG YOUR BOOTS AND CONCENTRATE ON THE IMMENSE WEALTH YOU HAVE GENERATED OVER THE YEARS THROUGH YOUR SO CALLED WHOLE HEARTED DEDICATION TO INDIAN CRICKET. If the attitude of achin was right he should have sat in the commentary box 2 yrs back.
DID GREG CHAPPELL TELL YOU TO GIVE SUCH A SHABBY PERFORMANCE AGAINST BANGLADESH? DID CHAPPELL TELL YOU TO GET BOWLED AGAINST SRILANKA? SO SACHIN YOU NEED SERIOUS INTROSPECTION BEFORE MAKING COMMENTS ABOUT ANYTHING!!! FIRST PERFORM AND THEN TALK !!

I THINK GREG HAS GIVEN U SOME BRIBE!!!!!
How can u say that sachin is not right? Every body has the right express their opinion and feelings, so as sachin. It is not only sachin the other players also mentioned same thing but keeping their name confidential. Just not analyse the results, but people should also analyse the cause for failure.
And the Cause is "Players just could not concentrate on the game because they are mentally disturbed by your favourite Chappel. It is just like you prepare for your exams when you are mentally disturbed. You will keep on turning the pages without understanding topic. Same Players prepare very well before the game but it in the crease the Chappel words irritates the player, loose the concentration and just one ball is enough to get out. This happened not only for Sachin but even for other players too.

Nonsense you are talking. He has fulfilled expectations long back, not now. Since he is no longer plays in the same way he has batted, he has to leave. He cant stick and make the team lose alla matches.

I am here !!!.The no 1 person to critisize sachin. This hero have no love to cricket. it all an i wash. If you remember some years back, in lanka, an india media person went ask this blaster to pose with indian flag. he just asked how much you will pay.
you can guss how much dedication he can have to the sport
Now tired of Indian rules of getting player in and out, they should follow as Aus/SA and now SriLanka...to get success...that%u2019s what C.Chappel was trying to implement but no one supported him..
Every one knows how much they (senior player) troubled Jhon Wright they used to insult him but he kept quite but CC is a different man.
Indian players are getting paid more than they deserves, esply senior players, but the man C.Chappel has given a kick start at the cost of his place.. Very sad to see him out instead of senior waste player who played with our (Indians) emotions by dominating the decisions.
And the board politicians and media is supporting the senior players for saving their skins for future as the coach already resign and they are in..
Well the world cup might be over of India, but this Indian cricket circus is even more fun than cricket i hope Sachin, Saurav, Sehwag, Agarkar, and Harbhajan remain in the team so that we get more such oportunities of watching circus in future.
