LOOK FROM POSITIVE ANGLE
by Jitesh on Apr 04, 2007 05:59 PM  Permalink

DO NOT CURSE THE Great INDIAN TEAM%u2014LOOK FROM POSITIVE ANGLE

If we loose a cup is accepted, but disgraceful exit from the tournament is not accepted in a country where cricket runs in everyone%u2019s blood. (almost 92 %population loves cricket).

Since last 10 days , when India team lost, I am seeing all the outburst in the country, especially media who creates the excitement and who also creates negative polls among the people. But then, I think it is just impulsive response what we see in the media.

Now, coming to positive angle, I think we should be thankful to the Indian cricket team, in a way that they have helped many, Parents, also the Maharashtra government, girlfrinnds / wifes and perhaps many more. Why %u2026%u2026.?

Parents- As WC started during school annual exam time, many parents were tensed for their young ones, who would have otherwise cryed for seeing the match.
Now that we are out and so is our interest is lost in the WC. Hence parents are relaxed.

Maharashtra govt.- Everyone knows that state is facing power shortage of some MW. Now think if we could have entered into super 8 stage then we the praja would have consumed more electricity, which sometimes may lead to load-shedding in some areas.
And so the CM would have finally face the grudge of the people.
Now that we are out, no more late night power consumtion, and hence no grudge against CM for not supplying power.

Girlfriend/ Wife-This is a class of people who requires HANDLE WITH CARE sign.
It may happen that because of cricket match, you may have postponed your date.
or may have kept your wifey waiting for you at night.
Now that team is out, you will not postponed your date nor wifey will have to wait.

Dont care what BCCI is doing with seniors/ coach, live them alone. If you give importance to them , you will get disappointment often.

Read this article once again, think broadly and you will see the changed opinion
about Indian cricket team.

So friends let%u2019s take it in a very positive manner. Stop others from criticizing Indian team, and pass this message into your network.

Negative role of players
by Raninderharsh Singh on Apr 04, 2007 05:57 PM  Permalink

Our playes had been nicely paid by the advertising agencies with which they are thinking they are above every one even BCCI. Tendulkar going to press without airing his cpmlaint to BCCI only shows that HE IS A ANTI-NATIONAL INDIVIDUAL and is concered with money only. For him rules are not applicable. Shame on Tendualkar Additionally BCCI should view seriously the report to be submitted by Coach Mr. Greg Chappel. All players who consider themseleves above BCCI should banned immediatly. ADVERTISING AGENCIES should stop giving money to playes , rather they should give money to WELFARE SOCIETY who are to take care of needy elder players.

Sachin Tendulkar
by Niraj Dave on Apr 04, 2007 05:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why is it that Sachin is feeling bad & complaining against Chappel now. He could have done that before the World Cup,but he and the fellow seniors had to think of all those lucrative advertiseing deals. If they would have complained then, Greg Chappel would open all those secrets of injured of out of form players. And anyways the we lost because of bad form of players & not because of Chappels policies. The players could't tolerate his no nonsense policies because they are used to flattering treatment. We should retain Chappel & Dravid and infuse new blood in the team. When was the last time that anybody saw any of the senior players throwing themselves around to field a difficult ball. Fielding is what made a Team like Bangaladesh very confident and we have a bunch of old fuddies who are not able to convert one's in to two's.We request BCCI in hope of improving Indian cricket please take new/young players to be led by an experianced captain.

Sachin's response was to Chappell allegation that the senior players were like the mafia. If he can go to the press to air dirty laundry, so can Sachin. As for Sachin, being in the team... drop him or keep him based on his perfomance. But, do not question the man's dedication. If he became known as the world's best batsman, every indian also felt that pride. Was it not the same Tendulkar who had to walk off at 194 n.o. when Dravid decided to declare the innings? Surely a very senior cricketer like Sachin could have made a holy mess out of that decision and gone to the press to complain. Why not then? And why now?

Its not always about money honey.Though game is always bigger than the player, but our anger towards sachin is only because india lost the world cup. This Greg chappel has the habbit of going to media, give shocking statement and force the players to respond. Now,if any one make comment on the integrity of an individual, anyperson will react, and it was very obvious.
We should stand by sachin and help him..
Remember he is the man,who has always made us proud.

niraj, you are picture-perfect in your views expressed here. our senior players should resign; in that way at least they would be able to take "modelling" as their full time job. besides, they would also leave the room for those who wish to play for our country, and not for hoarding money by modelling for chocolates and ice-cream candies etc.etc. 'dravid' is still the right man to continue as a captain. he knows the balancing act between money and the responsibility he has been given.

God help our team...

It seems, you are going out of your mind. Sachin is not Saurav. Indians will digest your trick against Saurav or any other players, but you chose the wrong player.
Better you go back to Australia.

Chappel Resigned

Here is the news

New Delhi: Greg Chappell on Wednesday resigned from his post as coach of the Indian team.

Chappell said he has informed the BCCI that he doesn't want an extension after the end of his term at the end of this month, also the end of the World Cup. India, however, made an early exit from the tournament.

"Today I informed the President of the BCCI that I would not seek an extension to my contract to coach the Indian cricket team for family and personal reasons," Chappell wrote to the media after putting up his papers.

"Firstly, I would like to extend my thanks to the BCCI for allowing me the honour of coaching the Indian cricket team over the past 22 months. It is, and it remains, one of the most challenging coaching positions in world cricket."

I am grateful to the players with whom I have worked in this time for the challenges that they presented me with and which I tried to meet in a professional, methodical and interesting way in the interests of the team and the individual."

Just two days back, Chappell had accused senior Indian cricketers of acting like a "mafia" and did not give a chance to juniors.

This drew strong protest from the senior players, who came out in the open to criticise the former Australian captain.

Chappell was angry with the seniors who undermined the captain from taking tough decisions.

Chappell had, however, denied having had any communication with the BCCI in connection with the attitude of senior players.

On Tuesday, Sachin Tendulkar slammed the coach for questioning his attitude towards the game and the team.

"I've given my heart and soul to Indian cricket for 17 years. No coach has ever mentioned, even in passing, that my attitude was not correct," Sachin said.

The Times of India also quoted a senior bowler as saying, "It's quite obvious that Chappell has a guilty mind. That's precisely why he is having a go at anyone and everyone."

"Chappell did not speak to us for 3-4 days during this World Cup. He just doesn%u2019t listen to anybody. How can a coach behave like this? It%u2019s a disgrace," he says.

Veteran spinner Anil Kumble too had attacked Chappell, saying his style may have created insecurity among players.

players should be fined/suspended for dissent
by Vijay Anand on Apr 04, 2007 05:52 PM  Permalink

We give too much room for the players. If Sachin played for a Major league sport in USA he would have been fined or suspended for his actions. These things happen only in India. Pathetic.

Atleast they don't play for records; they play for their nation. but how will u understand all that. u r after all an Indian who is too tiny for that kind of imagination.
