Both Tendulkar and Ganguly need to go
by on Apr 05, 2007 05:02 AM  Permalink

Both these players stopped performing few years back and all they contribute to now is petty politics. Time for new faces.

Stop this idiot to come to the public. How pathetic he looks like. If Chappel resigned what happened to him? Why is he so sad. Has Saha and liaison with Chappel? He looks like as if any of his guardian has left India.
Ha haha...

Thank you L. Pathan to correct me.
Bengali or Marathi or Rajastani saha, shah,...doec not matter.
It matters that why Mr. Niranjan is so sad? How can he relieved from that? Also the comment of Amin is alike of Shah. Why Niranjan can come to media to comment and not Sachin?
Before, Rahul supporters opposed to Saurav supporters (for the post of captain and some rivalry inbetween them).
Now why Rahul supporters blaming Sachin supportes?

I think all the Senior players should quit immediately to give chance to young players. they have failed miserably. They are the people who went to the field failed miserably. If they were having problems with the coach how come the BCCI could not know about it all these time . It is good that Chappel resigned and going. If they players are not listening to the coach why should be person be there in the name of a coach. We have simply wasted millions of Rupees to maitain a forein coach. We have lot of talended Cricketers in India right now. It is good to get someone from them. As Kapil Dev suggested, let Sunil Gavaskar be be the next coach. The BCCI should is to keep watching the relationship between the coach and players.
Once everything happens, there no need of going after scapegoats.

All bakwas.....Indian players are not mentally strong enough to tolerate the international pressure of playing in world Cup. They should not blame anyone for this disgrace in WC%u2026.they themselves are responsible for it. All Senior Players should be out except Rahul Dravid. Rahul also be under observation %u2026.if Rahul is playing good he should continue. Sachin, Saurab, Yuvraj, Virendra, Dhoni, Agarkar, Zahir should relax for some times.

The Players selection should be done based on the performance merit. There must be the two list %u2026one for Top Batting players and one for top bowlers. Poor ranking players must be replaced with top players of the domestic team players.

Also%u2026.There must be heavy tax duty on doing Ad for either Film Actors or Players. Apart from this some amount earned from Ad should go to their respective organizations which they are working for.

i think greg is absolutely right about what he is doing.has a very practical approach in what he thinks.i feel sorry for him.its india guys, u never know wats comin up.too much hype, unprofessional, stickin to the same old good batting pitches n don know wat.sachin is right in his place but the bcci should understand that it is the body to govern cricket and things related to it, so they should have control over the publcly speaking of players and controlling players.bcci does not have the guts to drop sachin, it was due to greg that saurav, having strong position in the team was dropped . he came back n is playin well just as a player..not as a star..thats how the approach should be...india lost due to the pitches there...havn't done well on seaming pitches ever..its their own mistake..n it will be always....always....we can just try...but wont work because its all in our ideology...even if we win any tournament...we wont be consistent...players are stars n the governing body is weak....its just about unprofessional approach ! so goodbye greg.....some one else will come n will be doin the same thing as always go.....u were brave enough to stand out and speak up....i think now the coach will be some indian who can eaisly adjust with the situations and be a quiet man watching everything........and India will remain india......I proud to be indian!

very rightly said, we worship players rather than game or countries pride, regional player is important than countries team. As soon as player play in few matches, he becomes boss, starts giving interviews.

Entertainment at it Best
by dagal on Apr 05, 2007 04:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am very thankful to the Indian team for not making it to Super 8. The Entertainment now is more interesting than World cup. The fighting between Chappel vs. BCCI vs tendulkar Vs. Kumble! WOW! This is better than getting smashed against Aussies, NZ and SA. We never had such an entertainment in a long time. It is only getting better and better.

Bunch of Jokers complaining about each other. Dravid why are you keeping quiet? We do not have any hot news today. Please talk something.

Anyway, entertainment at it Best.

Mr. Sachin

I used to admire you. But you turnout to be a two-faced man. You talked as if you played for the country for free in all these 17 years. I guess you might have gotten the training of cunningness from the duo Gavaskar and Shastri.
Idiots, didn't say a word about you after the debacle.

A Gangman who works on rail tracks all his life to find cracks on rails to keep travel safe, is also dedicated and hardworking.

Yes, if you perform consistantly we admire, but that doesn't mean you blame others when you are at your worst.

so we retain him based on past performances?? If so, maybe we should bring back Gavaskar and Kapil Dev too because of past performances. My point: when its time to retire, go retire. Sachin, Harbhajan, Ganguly and Kumble were very poor fielders in the WC (not to mention Ganguly's poor running between the wickets).

Mr. Muthia...

Let other 14 playes play sensibly and replace Sachin putting their position strong.

SAchin failed few matches does not mean he much exit.

Unless you find somebody in the place just by crysing Sachin's exit will not serve the purpose
of the team.

Show some good outcome from other 14 players played last few years to give Sachin a real
challege.

Why Niranjan Shah is trying to get publicity. Does he think he is very famous guy.
Better he should look himself in front of the mirror.
How ungly he is !

Uttam,

If Shah is going for publicity then what is SACHIN going for ...SYMPATHY. He actually screwed himself by going public.

Don't know but someone is around the corner to kick his butt soon, may be Suresh Raina Or Dinesh Karthik....

Yes, let Raina or Karthik come and play and put their strong position to replace Sachin.

That's acceptable.

How many times Kaif was given (just for one match win in England Natwest series)
chance insead of giving chance to Raina or Karthik.

We like to see good and proper substitute of Sachin.

See there are many players failed in the Cup matches. But mostly Sachin is targetted. What is about other players.

Just removing Sachin will not solve the team situation and position too.

Overrated Paper Tiger....see the results
by R K on Apr 05, 2007 03:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sachin''s record speaks for itself :
Sachin Tendulkar since Sept 2005 against Australia and SA in one day matches
Innings : 11
Runs : 155
Average : 14.09
100s/50s : 0/1

No other team in the world would pick him on the above performance but for India he is "Master Blaster". BTW what has be blasted recently ?

As far as Ganguly is concerned, he could not even match Tendulkar''s number....and WOW we have countrymen defending these two and giving excuses for them.

Sachin is a real burdeb to the team after 2003 world cup. He didn't show to the country that he is there in demanding situations. He should fell ashamed to get out cheaply by good bowlers. We all know how many times Mc.Grath has challenged tendulkar and he successfully picked him. Sachin clearly playing for money and riding on past history. Sachin, If you beleive you are a true servant to the nation, assess yourself what you did to the team over last 4 years. Please quit and give others a chance. over last 4 years you have scored 7 centuries against mediacore bowling and compare with ponting and hayden how those guys taken their team to victories. Ponting scored 19 centuries in this same 4 years. Dont look at sachin over all average. it will be always above 40's. Because he just need one century against waste attack, that too on a batting pitch

Sameer, you have targeted Sachin only.
If you consider last 20-25 matches and average,
is there anybody (new) who can replace Sachin.
Answer is no.
We are more frustrated on Sachin because we expect lot from him.
Why team breaks like soft brick after SAchin gets out.
Isn't the other players getting money and endorsement?

You mean to say, if you dont find a replacement to sachin when he is 60 you will still play him. What nonsense. Then we dont have an allrounder like Kapil Dev till now, shall we select Kapil too.

Why not West Indies, Pakistan, Srilanka ....

Sachin is still asset to the team.

you found last few years from other 14 players
