Does the average Indian Fan know that BCCI is registered under the Societies Act in India??? Therefore it enjoys all the Government Benefits that go with it? Including benefits on tax exemptions, using Government infrastructure and facilities, its official machinery including free service by Police? More importantly, being registered a society, who is it accountable to??? Is it surprising that Cricket in India lacks professionalism? Therefore lack of results?
Compare Cricket Australia. Check their official web page at http://www.cricket.com.au . You will get an account of what professionalism means. Did you want to know BCCI%u2019s official website??? Well what does that mean??? The richest Board in the world does not have one!
HIGH TIME A PROFFESSIONAL CORPORATE ENTITY TOOK OVER THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DELIVERING THE NATIONS QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE - ZEE HAS TAKEN THE INITIATIVE AND MAY THEY SUCCEED IN THE NATION'S INTEREST.
Chandra sounds like our good old Kerry Packer. Of course he is not confronting the Board as yet. Let us hope for the good of Indian Cricket. If he can help it in any way let him have a chance.

This is indeed good news for our cricket team let the world know the real indian talent
why is Zee behind cricket...why not other sports like hockey,archery,tennis...i am damm sure there is no money making for them in other sports(firstly no fans)... do u think any businessman favours common man with out his interest. If Mr Chandra is saying that he wants to improve cricketing standard then he can come up with young talent improving academy like so called MRF pace foundation. why he wants to have tournaments.for me its very much fishy... its good for BCCI members to make good money also as they have to approve it. so infuture we can think of Narayana Murthy Trophy, azim Premji trophy,Ambani trophy,Mittal Trophy.. afther these political parties wants to contribute for cricket... think of good names for each political parties. i hope this will not happen. God bless indians...

This parallel league is a new idea, whether it does any good to Indian cricket (assuming it materializes) remains to be seen. So what if Zee is planning to make tons of money in the process? If we sit around for philanthropists to rid everything bad for free then we will wait till the end of time. So long as cricket will be benefited I don't see a problem with Zee making money. After all any sport is a significant financial venture--that's what attracts fans, money and sponsors. Without sponsors and money no sports can survive.
i think you are not an indian.secondly you don't know PHL has been started for hockey to revamp Indian Hockey. You people think see dirt in every thing.
I wish you all the success and I hope that you really do what you promise. I say that because I am yet to see the actors you discovered thru your talent search shows in a big movie.
