This is a nice business plan develodped by Zee and Mr.Chandra.sounds exciting...but i am afraid it just wont work...coz we need players who can represent our country and play for the nation..not for zee sports..I guess no budding cricketer would love this...It is also very contradictory to ICC and BCCI norms..surely wont work...all the best to chandra...i think he should come up with some new prime time game show, antakshri or business baazigar..or may b look whats sony's or star is planning
erm..it sounds good idea, wait n c how it works. what ever the motto, idea is good. it gives some chance to all players from small towns at least. will be healthy competition.

i do agree with u. anyway our star player may play another 2-3 years, by that time this league may produce real good players who can raise our heads sky high in 2011. come on india 2011

but my doubt is who, indain&international players is gonna play in these league? bangla, kenya, zimb,ireland,bermuda..plz no.
Mr.Chandra is a pakka businessman and he is doing this purely from business point of view whcih is no wrong becuase cricket does bring money to everyone. What I see here is a little hope of the complete revamp and the change of attitudes with everyone. But I am pretty sure that those occupying the coveted offices in the BCCI would see this as an infringment in theri bastion and thus would vehemently reject this.

BCCI has an unaccountable, tax free business practice. nobody knows where the money is , we only hear once inna while that some boday (like mr. dalmiya) has eaten it. some more time will pass by when the current treasurer/ leader will accuse the previous board membr to have cleaned up the coffers. the game will continue.
That's a nice kick on the shins of BCCI and Indian Cricket Players and a much nicer move for the welfare of the sport. Atleast talent is brought forward by other means other than the corrupt practices of BCCI that come to fore now n then.
It is high time domestic cricket saw some money. Like it or not money is the best motivator. Unfortunately the major ad contracts find the pockets of select few "senior" players. The rest of team India and other aspirants are left to hoping for the best and waiting for their day in the sun. Also, since we are now stepping into the world of 20/20 it would be a good idea to have some practice besides developing a larger pool of players. We don't want a repeat of what team India now faces -The major players are not performing but we can't replace any of them because we haven't tried anybody else.
