Inconsistency is the reason..
by sukhpreet khanijou on Apr 04, 2007 10:18 AM  Permalink

You cannot blame it on the Coach.. Players attitude is what accounts for their failure. Most of them think they're invincible.

Mind you also read Steve Waugh's column - Players must put to end Match Fixing.

Again Players like Ajit Agarkar being in the Indian team is simply mind boggling and was given the nod ahead of Sreesanth and Pathan.. Oh well !!

Also selectors have to pick a team that is based on the players current form and performace not on his past record. Look at the Aussies.. that's why they're always winning matches !!

Dear What you had define in cricketing terms are very nice.Today Sachin Tendulkar has told that Chappel was the Villion he was not talking with Senior players and torchoring them. Then Why ? he kept quiet in Westindies.
The conflicts between Seniors and Chappel is effected our chances in the World Cup. But the playing 11 members are Indians and they were wearing the tag of India then they have have to play for our country not for Chappel. Now Every one is Searching there own reasons it like (Naach ne nahi Aya aur kahe rahe ho ke Aangan Teda hai) Dont know how to dance but Blameing the Floor.
Whatever is Happened is past Now its a request to Stay Unite and Help the Youngsters to grow High, I mean in Playing Standards not in Endorsements.

And Last Request is to Sachin Tendulkar Please dont Involve in any Controversy and dont make any controvesial statements, Because you are the only Icon of Our country who doesn't have any Remarks on his Part.We want you stay to away from all this controversies.

sack chappell
by mamillapalli ravi on Apr 04, 2007 10:12 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

well said navin ayosla. I would say chappell hasnt done anything good for our country. he should be motivator and I see the team crumbled when it is compared to 2003 world cup team and he is questioning sachin's commitment to cricket. you shouldnt question a great cricketer who served for several years playing for the country. chappell is not good for our country. two reasons for this --- he brings opinion when everything is done and that too some reports. he experimented till the last match before the worldcup without settling with an order. if you look back in 2003 we have perfect 11 and we had stick with that team and order didnt change much. they were flexible sometimes which is good enough. communication gap is there for some players and chappell. he has 2007 vision which is exiting from worldcup even not going to super 8s. Is it the vision??? He lessened the confidence of players. after his arrival there were all chaos in indian cricket starting from ganguly-chappell spat, now about senior players terming them as mafia. Its a conspiracy that chappell has been sent to India to weaken the team and in turn secure australia worldcup hattrick. seems funny but it happened that way some or other way. Last worldcup we only came close to win the worldcup. In those circumstances for defending the cup again they have pitted chappell and see what happened --nonsense. he believed in youngsters which is perfectly fine. but if there is mix of experience and youngsters then u have chance of winning any cup. the final say is to sack chappell and look for youngsters and take crciketers who would give 200% for their country.

y do u guys blame coach for the desaster,he is there only to improve the skills of the players,

but have u heard"Buddha tota kabhi pose nahi manta" means old parrot can never learn.the same thing these old player thinks they are better than the coach,if chappels says that there is an attitude problem with senior players,he is very right, u can see how sachin is crying about his remarks ,sachin is again trying to cash his past records, but who cares ,the fact is these senior players have proved to be disaster, instead of talent the board is full of regionalism, suddenly all former mumbaiya pandit players started supporting sachin, like gavaskar,vengsarkar,....ar,.....kar and son on.

all management ppl from bengal line behind ganguly, all southie lined behind the captain,

common man wot is this ,we have to look beyound this.

y not professionalism prevail.Bechara coach free me scape goat baney ga,coach kya ABCD... sekhayega, thik hai he is a coach he can tell a finer points.hw cannot go him self to play

kaif as captain
by Mohammed Altaf on Apr 04, 2007 10:10 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i suggest to bcci for captaincy, the future captain of indian team should be Mohd. kaif, because he was a captain of under 19 world champion in 2000.
he is a best fielder of team india & most valuable batsman of middle order.
sachin can not our future captain, saurav & dravid are about to retired.
and if we will decide regarding yuvraj, as a batsman we will loss him, after captaincy.

already we have faced that whoever is captain of india team. his performance continue fallen down.

so kaif is best for captaincy.

I admit that Chappell is the Indian coach and equally shares the responsibility on the Indian team being thrashed out of this world cup. Well, let me tell you that Chappell is just a new coach of te team and if you all're aware of the rotten politics in the Indian cricketing scenario, what big miracle would you have expected with another coach? Absolutely nothing!!! Think well before you bark on him, guys... Think of the dons who rule the Indian cricket. Won't you guys blame then for any of these issues? If then, I must say, you guys're insane.
Well, I'm really bothered about trhe future of Indian cricket. Unlike any other sport, cricket stands next to the film industry, in the stardom. The money that is being fed in and flown out is so huge for all of us to bear such childish attitude of the senior players. There are many players in this team who have played for more than 1 world cups. Where are they and what the hell are they doing? Why don't they model themselves for the younger / fresh players in the team? Aren;t they ashamed of all that they've been doing so far in the recent matches?
They need to remember that playing a huge innings against the newbies isn't a great thing for them to show their expertise. The people of India aren't here to see all that but to see their players and team do well against good teams. The people wouldn't shout if our team loose after a fighting game. They very well know how to accpet a convincing victory or a reasonable failure. So, the senior players should have shown their experience by leading the team in drastic situations when the team needed them a lot. Unfortunately, nothing of these happened for India in this series.
Greg has been a wonderful coach of India. He has taught the players the importance of performance in the game. He also gave Ganguly a blow, which made Sourav to bring back his lost form. He played exceptionally good in the world cup. It is not just Chappell but anybody who is going to coach India, heragain, will have tough times ahead. I still believe that a non-Indian coach will always be the best option for our team. I support Greg for his wonderful back-up for our team. I also wish, the game is fully controlled by the BCCI and not by the underworld dons. Only then will the players play and the team grow. Let's hope, all these things come true, very soon......

I think biggest problem with chappell is his ego. He has to understand that he is not goin to play for India , he is jus supporting the team. why is it that ever since chappell has taken over there have been all types of controversies. agreed that we have big players with big egos but it was almost the same team that played in 2003 world cup , has there ego changed ?
we should remind ourselves that the time when wright took over was even worse when there was an issue of match fixing. I think chappell tried to became bigger than the players which could not happen ... from outside wat one feels is that he wants to hold the team .. he always has a dig on someone who has power , earlier it was ganguly and now its almost all senior players. hittin on sachin is his biggest mistake .. he ll pay for it , he just wanted to share the limelight that players get.

Hey, but could you say that he was wrong in Ganguly's issue? No, Sourav was in a poor form when he had to go out of the Indian team. But, he came back into the team with a splendid poerformance, of which Greg was also happy about. And, he didnt "hit" Sachin as you've said. Sachin is down with several issues these days, which is reflecting in his performance. Would you expect him to hit a big score against a small team in a year or would you expect him to show a consistent performace in the game? He is a talented and well-experienced player who should lead the team in dire situations. We cannopt him and other senior players to play an easy game like this...

And above all, many players in the current team have been playing for more than 6-8 years? What about them? Would you then blame Chappell alone or them too?
See, you have to understand onething first. Blmaing is an easy job. But you gotta think that this is India and the game is cricket. its not easy to blame anybody, man...

Check out my prev msg.. Did I tell ne where that Indian coach will do some miracle... Under chappel the team has struggled and every 1 knows it. We need some 1 like John Wright who is more sensible and tolerant and who is a good LISTENER to the team's needs.

Well, I don't think that the Indian coach is to tolerate the players/board and their activities... He is to guide them in the way that he feels will do good for the team. He ought to haev the freedom to do so and the borad and the players are to move accordingly. If the things don't wrok well then, we have the right to screw the coach, but not otherwise...

Ok fine, but under which other coach, could you sya that Indian team had risen to glory? None, I believe... Any coach, be it Greg or anybody, can only guide the team through certain areas. Do you think Greg to teach Sachin / Dravid to bat propoerly or to train Anil / Harbhajan to bowl cleverly? Thats nothing, but ridiculous...
