Remove BCCI, Handover Cricket to Govt of India. I feel Govt of India can do a better job than BCCI. Atleast players will get a feel that they are Govt servants and are playing for India. No ADs, No endorsements. Let the Govt collect all the revenue. Increase prize of Khel Ratna, Arjuna award. Give those awards to eligible players, use the other generated income for the welfare of the country. Why Is BCCI, a private body allowed to make money in the name of the country 'INDIA'. Help Doordarshan to bag contract out of the revenue collected. Let the Common man enjoy sport. Sport should be played to make a country proud, not just for entertainment and money.
The players who tell that its a honour playing for the country, will surely play under Govt of India.

Why?? Isnt Govt of India representative are also behind money?? Such a huge money is involved in Indian cricket that it brings saliva on everybody's tounge, be it player, BCCI people or Govt Of India. The only way to stop this much money is cricket is to stop watching cricket. Or there shud be some accounting of BCCI's money.

Its better you trust Govt than a private body. Govt is accountable to its people but a private body is not. You have the power to chg govts, but not a private body like BCCI.
I too agree Govt is corrupt. But, I feel its better than BCCI, where a dozen of people make money in the name of INDIA.

Really. Does Mr. Niranjan Shsh know what the English word 'astute' actually means? In all certainty, he doesn't (like he doesn't understand cricket). Off the field, Dravid failed to motivate the players. Dravid failed to bind the players into a unit and was concerned only with building up an anti-Ganguly-Tendulkar camp inside the team. And on the field, Dravid goofed up with field-placings and counting the number of overs bowled and yet to be bowled by an individual bowler. Well, do all these make a cricket captain 'astute'? One thinks, even Mithali Raj is by far more astute than her current (and out-going?) male counterpart in Indian cricket. Either Shah really doesn't know the meaning of the word 'astute' or he is saying this under the sponsors' pressure. After all, the sponsors have already invested a huge amount of money on Dravid's endorsements.

Look at this Shah talking about luck....I think this is the last resort someone can hang on to when there is no explanation. Cricket in India(given the hype and so much of hooplah surrounding it), should not be measured in terms of luck anymore. People needs to be accoutable and in this case losing to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and getting eliminated from the weakest group in the World Cup can no way be accounted to LUCK. I would say fire the captain and also the SHAH as he has no understanding of the game what so ever. I had watched the Sri Lanka game partly and looking at Dravid's body language did not give me any feeling of he being astute. Dravid needs to be fired right away and let a group of youngsters build a new team for India...

yes , it is not easy to overhaul totally. let us be realistic. Get Amaranath as coach. Of the 3, Ganguly, Dravid and Tendu all 3 have may be two more years, in test cricket.AND only Ganguly seems to have some more time in one day cricket.By law of justice Dravid may be given the two years as captain of test team, but Ganguly who was ousted and punished by Chappel for no reason must be re-instated as captain of 50 overs and 20 overs cricket with Yuvraj as assistant. i hope the selectors see reason

According to Mr Shah, if we would have won the World cup every body would have praised Dravid's captaincy and now that we are out everybody is after Dravid, which we shud not be(according to Mr Shah)...well I dont agree...the captain shud be held accountable... after all, not everybody gets to be the captain of the National team and we all know how important the role of a captain is, in winning or loosing.....if this is not true then we shud make the 12th man as captain or for that matter why not appoint Mr Shah or Mr Pawar as the captain... offcourse they are the unofficial captains who call all the shots both on & off the field..

World cup or no world cup, Dravid's wooden-headedness has been on show for a long time. Any cricket lover and analyst always knew it. Don't we remeber how India under Dravid lost to Inzy Pak by failing to cintain them in last few overs when Ganguly was serving the ban? Of course, we shd respect Dravid for many other qualities. He is a solid batsman. Why no one points out that his batting is wilting under the pressure of captaincy and that way both he and India r losing out. At an earlier point of time when Sachin's batting was wilting under the pressure of captaincy, he had voluntarily given up captaincy. Dravid shd do the same.
