It maynot be a bad idea to offer Ganguly the position of coach. This guy built up a great true indian team and pushed it to a WC final. He would definitely be able to understand the juniors ,

I think u have ur head in the clouds. I have already reserved that position for myself as everyone of u in this forum want me to retire.
More than anything else, the pitches where the ball bounces and get swing should be made. This is major concern of all batsmen in India. It might solve the ballers problem too. Any takers......

sounds funny.. but it may be inappropriate to use a players name. What about the players them selves? Do they have the time to surf rediff.com and post messages?

What happened to you Sachin ? One month back ,you were proud of your fans and after elimination from World Cup you can not show your face to public. Lakhs of cricket fans are still faith on your words.Go technically ,analyse our demerits and made public. If you cried after our defeat ,express us. your tension will be relieved.

Ranjit, most of the fans r not educated. They think cricket is their be all and end all of their lives. You see there is so much unemployment in India that these guys have no other work but to burn our effigies and damage our houses. believe me if i am removed from the team there will be riots in the country and the flag will be hoisted at half mast

'make shift sachin' most of all you are the most ignorant person worth to live in your cubicle. the real sachin has made millions of dollars and if he has any concern, then he should donate to charities. i have not heard nor seen on tv nor read in newspaper any cricketer donating his ill gotten money to help the needy, only sign the wooden dead bats on tv. bless our country to get rid of leaches like sachin and all of the same standard/variety.
yes as the subject says and i recently read this line "'Dravid's captaincy has nothing to do with India's ouster from the World Cup'" no doubt captaincy did not matter..but as a captain wasn't it his moral duty to apologise to country men who were in shock n sorrow that India was out of WC and the heros could not perform? and even if we Indian die hard fans have blamed the heros but after this tournament is over we will be the ones to come back again to crowd the stadium and cheer them for this we can even or infact had recieved memos from the boss and recently from some of us died of heart attack, the shock which was unbearable by the fans and not the actual playing ones.. are the heros so numb? which of the squad members know that 3 were died in the country cause of shock and even if they know how many of them have had observed silence in their memory.
Defeat is not the pain but giving up and surrendering is the real pain atleast for the so called tigers.
The defeat for India in World Cup is the last nail in the coffin and was inevitable . However ,the defeat is a good sign for other Indian Sports and people of the country. Poor Parents are happy that their children have started studying and saved lot of money also otherwise these mobile companies and yellow journalistic TV channels would have looted these poor children by luring them to take part in various stupid competitions and guessing games through SMS.
There are only 8 nations playing serious cricket and India is one amoung them. Still India could not reach the last eight of the tournament.
Did anyone gave a thought to our own narrow thinking on issues related to region, religion etc.
Some people are asking for the blood of Greg Chappel. But he can not be cowed down and the people who are mastering over the game are no match for him
The coach essentially wanted a team which can field brilliantly, run the singles like cheetah , take catches like frogs catching their prey and people with love and respect towards each other and less egoistic and mentally tough people. He is of the opinion that the so called Godly gifted people who plays cricket or God on offside or on side are of no use if he cant field properly, not able to take catches and not run singles and not mentally tough. What he got was handicapped people without any mental toughness.
Then we had this yellow journalistic TV channels who created so much hype and pressure on these players which was enough for their downfall. This is ultimately what had happened.
Take an example. Saurav Ganguli was playing extremely poor during the last one year of his captaincy. But he was persisted and when coach thrown him out, he was brought back with regional pressure with even Chief Minister and other Politicians from the state. Was it a correct step ? His removal from the captaincy was an apt decision but we so much furore and ultimately brought him back and thrust upon Poor Dravid who was the main resistance from this Indian side during the last 10 years against foreign teams on foreign soil.
It is true that Saurav played better on his come back but his fitness is in doubt. India needs younger players and for God's sake, players like sachin, saurav, kumble, sewag should retire and give way to others. Dravid is innocent in the whole issue and therefore should atleast be given 6 months more. He was the real wall India had for the last 10 years and therefore that should be respected.

Dravid showed his aggression only at press conferences .... if he showed even a tenth of that on field India would have gone thru. The 190 was not an easy target for Bangladesh if the man at healm had attacked.

absolutely right . there is no way ganguly can stay in this team and maybe tendulkar too .. the odi game is not suitable for them. look at jayasuria or hayden ... they are old, yet the way they bat shows that they feel pride representing the country. these two idiots think they have done enough in the past to keep playing for india for ever
