ITS NOT FAIR TO LAUGH ,COMMENTS
by chander parkash on Apr 02, 2007 06:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

WE KNOW THEY SHATTERD INDIAN PUBLIC DREAM OF WINNING THE WORLD CUP . FIRST OF ALL I WANTED TO SAY THE ALL PLAYERS SHOULD BE KEEP AWAY FROM THE PROMOTIONAL ADS SO THAT THEY CAN KEEP CONCENTRATE ON THEIR SPORTS .BUT INDIAN BUSINESS LOBBY FOR THEIR GREED THEY PROMOTE THE YOUNG PLAYERS OFFERING MONEY .

I HOPE BCCI WILL TAKE NOTE OF THIS . IN THIS WORLD CUP EARLY EXIT BCCI IS MORE RESPONSIBLE RATHER THEN THE PLAYERS .

WE MUST KEEP OUR SENIOR PLAYERS FOR COACH INSTAED OF HIRING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY .

PLZ DONT PASS ANY COMMENTS FOR DRAVID . ONE HAS TO WIN AND AFTER ALL CRICKET IS SOME TIME LUCK GAME .

SORRY IF I HURT ANY ONE FEELINGS AFTER ALL DRAVID IS ALSO HUMAN BEING .

I agree dude , even I admire hims as Great player of India but to be cap, you need entire team to think that we should or we must win, just the agressive captain alone cannot do anything .
FYI, among all cap in Indian team (except Kapi), Rahul has scored more runs has a captain.

Methods of improving Indian cricket
by baranikumar mahadevan on Apr 02, 2007 06:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have trying my best to come up with strategies.
Ten days back I suggested on this forum that ICC should split into two. Division I would regulate countries like Australia, West Indies,New Zealand,South Africa,Pakistan,England,Bangladesh,SriLanka and Zimbabwe. Division II would be India,Holland,Bermuda,Canada,Kenya,Ireland,Scotland and any new country joining cricket and there would be separate World Cups for each division. In our division India would have a reasonable chance of winning World Cups from now on.
Some 3 days back I recommended we send our experts to our countries. Sharad Pawar could become Sports Minister in Australia and start scams, court cases, money siphoning and bring down the cricket board there in a few months. Kiran More could be sent as selector to New Zealand and in a few weeks time build the worst team possible. Then the other remaining selectors should be sent to the remaining countries to do a similar job.
Now if all this does not work let us not lose hope. There is yet another plan. Let us ask the corporates to spend these absurd amounts of money - not on Indian cricketers , but all the cricketers of the other countries especially the leading players. It is well known that money corrupts most and at least we can try to corrupt them. A few hundred crores for each person might get a Ponting or a Shane Bond to think about early retirement. If they retire early our cricketers have a better chance to face the other newcomers.

Dear friend
I am sorry to say that u r not having any knowledge about working ICC, Dear ICC is already splitted in 2 divn, that is why qualifiers from divn 2 like Bermuda , Ireland , Scotland and other Minows have allowed to play in Divn 1 world cup based on their performance in divn 2
Your second suggestion regarding use of corporate money is also not a good one, I request pls read it again and decide what does it mean to uplift the performance of Indian cricket team

Regards

obsession with cricket
by on Apr 02, 2007 06:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

winning and losing is part of any sport. u win some u lose some, sometimes u lose to teams which are way below you. that is the beauty and eccentricity of sports as it is with life.it cud be world cup, any tournament.
Most indians fans have shown remarkable lack of maturity in their reactions and a lot has to do with jealousy.if cricketers or any sportstar want to endorse products and make fat bucks out of it, its their business. somebody is willin to pay big, and there is a player who fits the bill, whats the problem?
can u and i even endorse any product.time to move on, leave the guys alone let them be themselves, let them enjoi and let us accept that no matter what, life and sports have glorious uncertainties. who knows 5 years from now, australia cud be in a hole.
let this obsession with cricket end. its good for the sport and good for everyone.

Just Think
by sai kiran on Apr 02, 2007 06:27 PM  Permalink

I also agree that the team made a big mistake. But why the people hang up to this for such a long time?Do the people take this that serious if it is case of a political party? They are also common people and they have their personal work to do?If a Indian cricketer comes out of his house we people move around him and we are only making them dummy gods.scolding them when they have not played well and praising when played, it became the common nature of our people? We are only giving them the position?Just try to support them when they are in bad patches. We all know how capable they are!We expected our team minimum to be in the Semis but they haven't.Don't make them still depressed.Do we see a maestro like sachin retiring with a bad patch like this.Let us support them so that they will perform better and take their own decision
