Nobody should retire
by Achary MS on Apr 05, 2007 09:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sachin, Ganguly and Shewang are our star players. So, They must play when they are at the age of 50. No need to give chance to any youngesters. We do not need India win the match. We need our stars to play and make 50 runs from 150 balls. Bhaaagooo India, Bhaaagoooo.

I too agree with , we need star players in theteam whatever be the result we don't bother. I think these players play at the age of 100, so they make money, more records.

May God Bless Our Indian Cricket.

tu aisa bakbak karti hai kiun?

Kuch smajhti nahi sunti nahi

chali aati hai Ganguly ke khilaaf bolne ke liye.

IItna assan hai sab kuchh.?

Ganguly team ko jo jo jit dilya uski koi kimat nahi hai?

Captain ko kuchh nahi karna parta!

Saabko jit dilata hai dusra khilari?

Captain ki soch na nahi parta decision lena nahi parta bowler ko istemal nahi karna parta saab khilari apnaa apnaa kaam karta jit dilata captain ko?

Captain ko koi planning nahi karna parta aisehi sab kuchh chalta hai!

Gangulyko sabhi jit dilaya dusra khilari ne aur Dravid ko haraya team mates ne!

Yeh koi logic hai?

Tu kuchh nahi samajh ti hai!

Faltu bakbak karti hai dravid ki paltu jaisa.

Tu jaa sidha maa kali ki bhog mein.

by Robiee on Apr 05, 2007 02:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Let players speak with results.

With numbers.

With winning attitudes.

Its very easy to cover your ass just by pointing a finger.

Players want to blame Coach for there failure.

BULLSHIT !!!!!!!

Why is a Coach of a great importance ?
by Joseph Naveen on Apr 04, 2007 11:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

guys..I would like to know why the coach is given so much importance?..we don't even hear about any other coaches as we hear about our indian coach..I think we need to concentrate on the game rather than the coach and the players.bottom line is, its just a sport..

When will team India start scoring 275 runs and above consistently every match and when will they restrict the opponents for the less than the same total
by Vamsi on Apr 04, 2007 11:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I just want every one to add some more points so that we can send some recommendations to BBCI through Rediff.com.

Batsman

Score reviews

1. Every batsman is suppose to have a current batting average of above 45 runs.

2. The batting average has to be reviewed every series or every 5 one day matches if the any series has only 3 one day matches.

3. Constant track of the performance of each batsman and the performance review for every 5 games. (The batsman should get a chance to bat)

4. If Sachin Dravid Ganguly or any batsman in the team is not averaging 45 runs in the just completed series or last 5 matches, they need to be DROPPED regardless if he is senior junior member some wrong decision by the empire Captain Vice Captain or he might have scored a 100 in the last gave of the series and still averages below 45.

5. As long as our batsman are getting runs on the board and our bowlers are able to take 10 wickets a match there is no need of so called Capitan of the team who should be assured of the place as indicated by selectors.

6. Why should be a Capitan assured in the playing 11 when he is not performing . Capitans are not just to decide/ or take decision who is going to bowl when and when to go for power play, they are suppose to scores runs or bowl well as any other member in the team. You can see the stats of (Ponting (c) G Smith (c) S Fleming (c) M Jayawardene (c) ) in the http://www.itsmylinks.com/WORLD_CUP_2007_TOP_10_BATSMAN.html

All Rounders (AR)

Every AR need to have a minimum batting average of 35

Ever AR need to get a chance to bowl at least on AN AVRAGE of 5 OVERS per match in which he is suppose to take minimum of 1 wicket and his economy rate should be below 6 runs per over.

This has to strictly reviewed every 5 matches and then only give the TAG OF ALL ROUNDER if the player is constantly performing for two seasons ( 10 Matches).

Any AR who is dipping in his batting average and could not consistently perform should be dropped and provide opportunity for another player who can do a better job.

If you cant provide a chance to bowl on average of 5 overs per match to an AR then dont call him as an AR and dont select people under that category. It is an easy way to get into team and stay long time without performing.

Regular Bowlers:

Ever RB need to have bowling average below 30.

Ever RB need to have a bowling economy rate of below 5

Ever RB need to be given a chance to

The Best 11
by Ankur Khanna on Apr 04, 2007 11:10 PM  Permalink

Heroes must be respected, but please remember that these guys are playing at the topmost level and for the country.

The best 11 guys from the whole country should be in the team. Past history cannot gaurantee present and future results.

And please also understand that if a person has not been selected in the team, it doesnt mean that he has been disrespected. What it means is that the person is not in the top 11, and he can definitely make it again if he improves his performance.

In Australia this has happened so many times - big names include Michael Bevan, Mark WAugh, even Steve Waugh was under immense pressure till he retired; and maybe much more. But none of these guys carry grudges against their Boards, they have retired but they don't feel that they have been shown disrespect. They understand the fact that their performances were dipping, and they were up against a competition.

So if a person is not included in the team, it should be taken in the right way. Heavens won't fall if Sachin and Saurav are excluded and told to improve their performance.

Disappointing
by Ankur Khanna on Apr 04, 2007 11:06 PM  Permalink

As much as I am upset at TEAM INDIA's poor performance, I am even more shocked at the reactions and comments from supporters of Saurav Ganguly (almost all Bengalis).

They seemed to have forgotten that this is about TEAM INDIA and not MR. BENGAL. And how can they be completely blind to the poor performance of Saurav Ganguly over the years and the follies (politics) committed by him.
