aussie's are best team and they deserve world cup2007.....they are the only candidate for the world cup2007. its only a one team show..............neelmani gupta
Its really unfortunate for Indian cricket that Ganguly is thrown out from Team India. The way he is treating in not fair. He is most successful captain of India. Their is no need to show his record.Every person know it.If Selection commission select players on the basis of performance then they must know that he did very well after his comeback.Last 2 series(before WC) he was the best player from Indian Team.If they are considering performance no one recognize when last time Sehwag did well. And Sachin is also out of form so.Their is nothing wrong with that if they did not select Sachin. For a long time he did not play well. I think they need to do more homework before any decision before selection.Fair work will help for both(Team India and player).
Can you believe it. this guy took 175 million dollars from India and did what?---
---removed most successful skipper --- not only that, got our ppl to believe that he was agst the team --- not only that got him out of the team!!! --- got someone to lead who was a sure flop in that role --- removed key players --- damaged confidence of other key players whom he could not remove --- never let any batting order stabilise --- killed the lethal talent in ace swinger and true match winner -- irfan pathan --- he got everyone to believe it was a process
Now, look back-- last world cup--
--- Saurav takes India to world cup finals --- Saurav wins test in australia and beats them one one day final as well --- saurav leads india to win in pak agast pak --- it was sure this combination was lethal enough with saurav at front to win 2007 cup, coz they were only 2nd best and improving everyday
man called chappell comes in and destroys it all, convinces our ppl that it was a process.
yes, it was a process--
---to de-stabilise india to a extent that do not stand any chance to win 2007
-- crippled whole team and ensured he saw saurav out
--- so that asutralia could win their 3rd successive cup
he was a true patriot, what were our ppl doing, paying him 175 million $ to do this. Let him do whatever he wanted.
Biggest irony, even offer him the future, to demolish that as well.
Ironic, isnt it... he got india to pay for a job what australia should have paid him for.
He knew, he couldnt have done it without saurav out of the team. So even as he left he has convinced our ppl that saurav must remain out, and our inferior minded a''es listen to him even today
So when it came to grroming the future, he has preferred to grrom australian future!! does it need to speak more, everyone know which board can pay him better!!!!!!!!!!!!!
irony isnt it!!!!!!!!!!!
Great JOB CHAPPELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yoiu were atleast a patriot

What a shame if there are no players from a particular state, the selection is flawed. What a shame! India is divided in terms of Cricket
i dont understand why ganguly was thrown out of the ODI team while shewag was still there. is it because is played well in the last ODI. Is performance in the last ODI the criteria for choosing the OD team

because ganguly can't win a match even if he plays upto 50 overs but sehwag can.
Very good analysis of ganguly's performance in WC Suman. I 100% agree wen u say Ganguly is responsible for India's WC debacle. He shud definitely not be a part of Indian team either today or even in future. However, I do not agree dat he was not a good captain. India wud not have won those matches had anybody else been the skipper. So, lets give due credit to him. He was responsible to keep the team performing as a unit wen he was the skipper. Cud anybody else not hav played politics during his time and divided the team? The fact is dat he was capable enough (as a skipper) to discourage groupism and ensure dat the team was together as well as performing. Lets not hav a biased view of the complete scenario.

ganguly and his gangresponsible for WC debacle The WC debacle was not an unexpected one . Any knowledgeable follower of the game would say without any hesitation why India failed to make the super 8.. I wish to recall the final of the 2003 WC and would also like to recall the way in which the Team India Captain played. against the Australians. But for the then President of BCCI and his coterie no one would have imagined of selecting him as Captain for the tours ahead. The Captain of Team India at that time played only one good innings both in ODI and Test cricket against the Aussies but for the Present Team India Captain ( the then Vice-Cap) who was instrumental in several wins both during the Australian as well as the Pakistan tours., that man would never have had the opportunity to carry on as Captain. Everyone is aware how the then Captain skipped the match against Australia at Mumbai at the last moment feigning injury but was found shooting and also practicing in his home town and the match was won under the Present Captain. The media which is controlled by the people coming from the same region as the then Captain of Team India did everything to see him back in the team . The result is for everyone to see. Playing 24 overs for 66 runs against Bangladesh, a very badly played 89 vs Bermuda and an inexplicable 7 runs in 27 balls vs Srilanka and supported by a group he had given chances after chances despite poor performances during his days as Captain in order to drive wedge against a tough coach and a real sportsman Captain was the primary task of this man. Such things are possible in this country only. . Who knows such men may be rewarded also. The ignorance of the so called sports loving people is quite evident as at least on 4 occasions international cricket matches were stopped at Eden Gardens and on several occasions involving local matches

The main culprits for WC debacle is Dravid. Vengsarkar already aired that Shewag selection is purely Dravid's demand and it showed how costly is that against Bangladesh.

How much did Vensarkar's selection contribute.Harbajan total failure in 2 matches .Zaheer Khan hit by a 18 year old kid outside the stadium.Ganguly playing for his place. The future captain which Vengsarkar had mentioned before the WC how much did he score? I think he should first look at his selection contributions and then speak about others.
