Aussies may loose in low scoring match
by Sharad Saxena on Apr 26, 2007 11:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think Australia will loose 4 - 5 wkts in those 30 overs bowled by Vaas, Malinga and Murali coz they Aussies have not faced them in Carribean pitches ( Hats off to Lankan planning) and a great reason for result will be affected how other supporting bowlers perform

But one thing is sure , It will not be a high scoring match because both teams have excellent bowling well supported by outstanding fielding skills and Aussies may loose here as I have already pointed out that their lower middle order and tail enders have not got the batting practice through out the tournament and there is possibility that they may CRUMBLE???? is it not??

Regards

All media speculations. Discussion are eyewashing experience
sachin and ganguly are main culprits for wc debacle. and there were huge public opinion against sachin. But strong mumbai lobby will never let down theirlocal hero. and vengasrakar wanted him to captain. resting ganguly and sachin is eyewashing exercise. And many ex cricketers, media cricket experts had not guts to spaeak against these 2 super starts. the lack of commiment , passion , poor body languge or groupism or petty politics played against captain and coach..
both ex captain are fighting for captaincy behind scens. so they have to prove dravid is not good captain . but dravid started well wining 18 odis in chasing and won test series in WI , histoirci test match win SA, and odi sereis in WI.Chappell report was right in pointingout these dressing room politics and some players undermine dravd's captaincy and not to led by skipper . But this did not bring any laurales to ex captains.they are looser b'cuz there is no guarantee that sachin ganguly will play next WC
many younger players will now perform on field and if they go for dressing room politcs they will loose the place in team like agarkar, harbajan and gatting back into team.
Pathan and kiaf both deserving playes for odi and good players are victims of this dirty politics

As per some news report tendulkar and ganguly had last laugh that they got rid of chappell and next terget is dravid
Indian express poll 75% favoured dropping sachin and ganguly for odi series against BL
80% ppl approved bcci move to drop senior players TOI poll
65% voted in favouring the bcci decision to rest superstars while dravid's supports to retain him as captain increased even after ongoing dravid bashing articles..
80% of cricket associanton (survey in ndtv) supporte dravid.
,. IBN CNN survey 86% ppl voted for dravid.. Sachin may be living legend but he is no more bigger than team or game
48% voters is voted dravid to be captain by big margin.
www.cricketvotes.com

SL is playing superb cricket None of senior player /ex captain m envied mahila%u2019s his promotion as captain From the outset they gave unstinting support. they remained hungry to perform and did not rely on reputation or popular support to protect their places

Should be a GR8 final
by Minto on Apr 26, 2007 10:43 PM  Permalink

Two best teams are in the final. SL and AUS match evenly on skills and mental approach to the game. AUS was awesome. Only chink in SL's armor was the narrow loss to NZ.
If SL has to bat first, it has to score about 270. If they end up bowling first, they have to restrict AUS below the same score.

The two losers in the semi finals had also lost to inept, hapless monkeys from BD. SA lost in 2nd round, NZ in a warm up match with full stength. The two finalists pulped the little bastards. Lose against BD, what do you expect? You are just not good enough for AUS and SL, especially AUS.
Look forward to Saturday's game. Also, India will win 2011 cup at home.

Good question!!! Yes my friend I have the answer...

Sachin Tendulkar scored 673 runs in 11 matches in WC 2003 , however
Mathew Hayden is very close to break this record if he scores 53 runs in the final, He has scored 621 runs out of 10 matches

Local Heroes ! Please think it over
by on Apr 26, 2007 06:44 PM  Permalink

As long as Indian team plays in India it continues to win matches/series in both forms of cricket. Team and people will think India is great in cricket. Indian team should plan to play abroad for a period of two years to test its capabilities. Will the present Indian team play/bat 50 overs and bowl the opposition out in 50 overs in (leave alone winning)one day international?. Will the present Indian team is capable of play/bat 90 overs against any team and bowl the opposition out at least once in test cricket abroad? Players/Cricketers concerned should think over seriously before thrashing by Bangladesh in Bangladesh. India should continue to play abroad to test/assess its potential.
