Media has to play very vital role. As media has focused in cricket then it should also focus in hockey. 8 times olympic champ it feels bad today we are out. Only players are not responsible but sport minitery is also respobsible for this. no proper attention is given. So frn dont be dis-hearted. come on hockey team pull up your shocks to other cups which are on the way.
Cmon guys...this is not fair. What if the hockey team even won the OLYMIC GOLD??? You think they will be famous in India??? DAMN NO WAY! This country cannot prosper in any other sport other than CRICKET..that too very rarely.Talk about many great people in other sports...football,tennis,shooting,atheletics. People in India dont want to come out of their cricket dreams.Just think how much talent in all other sports will surface if they start paying other sport stars(like Baichung,Pillai and others) the way they pay cricketers!!! India is full of talent in all fields and all sports....we only need to tap it properly. In my opinion,we've wasted a lot on cricket...time to stand up for other sports also. And for Mr.SRK..I wish you could pay so much for a hockey team for which you have faked in Chak De!

" if the hockey team even won the OLYMIC GOLD"
But they did not even qualify for the Olympics. Cricket generates its revenue which allows it to pay the players. If your darling hockey cannot generate revenues then that is not the fault of cricket. Try to understand - most Indians like cricket and that is like saying they like tea. Forcing them to like hockey or coffee is not going to work!

KPS Gill being a Sardar has nothing to do with his performance as Chief of the IHF. There are lots of Sardars who have played hockey very creditably for India. You should not indulge in racist comments.
everybody will resign except kps gill. he is the one who has downgraded hockey in india. still the shameless ihf president occupying the post since last 10 yrs approx. never accepts responsibility.
SRK is national coach and Yash is President!!!... Till Gill is the chairman... nothing much will happen... SRK can safely make another movie Phat Gayee...INDIA
Its painfull for all the hockey lovers, not to see their team at olympics. But who to be blamed for it. Players did what ever they are capable of. Top players were not in the team. I remember sometime before Sydney Olympics top player and inform Ramandeep singh was denied place in the Indian team saying that he have played to the best level in the game and should make way for young players. IT HAPPENS ONLY IN HOCKEY. KPS should find some other job. If the out of form player or no performing players are left out, Why a non performing president should stay in office. He should be expelled.
Thanks a lot, the great Indian Hockey team. You saved taxpayers money to go there and come back empty handed every time. At least that money can be spent for the upliftment of Indian hockey. Thanks once again hockey players. You really thought about th4 country. Hats off to you.
