Strange disparity between junior and senior levels
by Arun Nayar on Jul 18, 2008 09:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is surprising that over the last 10 years, I ndia has won quite a few junior level events including the junior world cup and asia cup. This should suggest that India has a highly talented pool of players ready for senior level. Yet the Indian senior team has hardly won anything of note languishing in the bottom half of most tournaments. What is going wrong in the transition from junior to senior?

It might be because of the management strategies to give more time to juniors before stepping into senior levels or thinking worse about the situation it might be cuz of politics and people with influence making into the senior team rather than a talented bunch.

Its time for the hockey federation of India to boost these young players by giving them good oppurtunity to play against the best teams in the World. Plan Foreign tours and get guidance and coaching from all senior experienced hockey players.....Good Work Guys.....we are proud of you......Chakde India

Well Done!!!!

Keep It Up
Atleast They are winning the final match.
They are not like Indian cricket team which almost win every match in the tournament but loose the final match.

Latest Example is Bangladesh tri-nation series and Asia Cup Series
