Hi I have found all the points are correct from the personal and national point of view there is not the time to talk about our system lazyness let make the system fast , I think Akhil has to organise a press conf. and clear the view with all over the india , & ask the straight question to the responsible, from my side i think that the way to make it fast or you guys can also share your ideas to solve.

yeah dude............... its not only the minister..but he has to fight also his 10 odd Z security commandoes, 20 supporters. and then only he can get his hands on those dues......if any left by the minister.
This is a classic example of how biased our administration is. When they talk about quota system, unprivileged class of people are given some reservations, subsidies etc (dirty vote bank politics). In that case, the cricket board is so rich in this country, why don't they pass an order to divert some share of their profits to other sporting events and great acheivers ? If they don't agree, they should find a way to penalise them as well.

Good point ! This is the sorry state of affairs in this country and we have nobody to blame except ourselves. We ahve allowed such a party to rule over us for 50 years. It's time, we show them the doors, for ever.
Boxing is a stupid game and not at all entertaining. It is also a very violent sport. Taxpayer money should not be wasted on a person just because he won a brawl!!

come on grow up man.... think before opening ur mouth.......... its a sports..he represented india and done india proud by winning........... u know hw much money goes in incentives, salaries of our MP's, ministers... hw much money goes in parliament sessions where these bugger keep behaving like they are in fish market......ask these questions....
It is a sad reading that a boxer who won a medal at an international meet is yet to be given the award / money promised to him. The only thing that would have been achieved is political mileage by the chief minister, union minister announcing the reward getting coverage in the media. After that all will be forgotten and the respective sportsperson should fight with the beaurocarcy to get what is due to him / her. The Govt reacted only after the whole hockey team protested for not being recognised for their efforts. While I am a keen cricker follower I still feel sad that other disciplines in sports are not getting recognised. Let us hope this article would make some people open their eyes and Akhil gets his money in few days time.
ya it is very true the boxer like akhil kumar & some athlete are very good talented to win a medal in olympic but the govt announcement of rupees havent got them bcoz of curruption it decrease their confident bcoz they havent got financial support.but dont think that try ur best bcoz all indians are with u best of luck
Akhil Kumar is being punished for being a winning boxer. If he were even just a zero talent cricketer losing at international level how different things would have been....money,ads,fame. This shows what kind of a country we live in....we dont recognise real heroes and worship mediocrity. Rock on Akhil...Concentrate on Beijing....That medal would be worth more than anything else.

Well said, SS. Being an international Handball player myself I can understand the problems Akhil is encountering. But, as SS said 'Rock Akhil, we are with you, buddy'.
