Sania Mirza has been winning all the accolades just becuase of the oomph she carries. Otherwise the true champ is SAINA.... a much more deserving candidate than Ms Mirza to get the Nation's backing

very true ... people are so ignorant to go on face value ... this girl's achievment is bigger than sania mirza's
Abhinav, For sure you would for ever be renowned as the glorious sporing HERO who gave our country - INDIA the first individual GOLD in the entire sporting history of Olympics...
Being a sportive INDIAN, am proud to be a part of this moment and joins the entire nation to celebrate this glorious sporting achievement. Thanks Abhinav.
when i came to know about bindra's gold medal, i messaged all my friends about this news. you know what reply i got "dont joke madhu". yes, nobody could believe this. still people are trying to confirm the news as something totally unexpected and undeserving has happened. congrats abhinav for making this possible, for re directing the pessimistic indian mind to an optimistic path. we are so proud of you. and to the media ..... please promote all sports like hockey, shooting, badminton etc.. they should come out from the jinx that india is cricket and cricket is india. and also they should self restrain itself. i ve seen reports in media like "no hope in olympics athletics this time" and all. let me ask you - did anyone expect a medal for rathore in the athens olymoic games ? no. but this time he s a media favourite. stop over praising those who bring glory. sania mirza is the glittering example in this case. that is what i mean by balanced journalism. all the best to the whole indian contingent. let the unexpected things happen again. we indians are so curious to hear more and more indian national anthems to be played at the prize podium.
our very best wishes are with you, saina!! you've got what it takes, and your world ranking plus our good wishes stand behind you, so just go out and play your heart out...
Congratulations to Saina and to Abhinav. The reason for these people being able to play in Olympics is that they are playing games which are not touched by politicians. So genuine talent can reach the right platform although it also deprives them of any kind of government support. Hats off to them. Otherwise, see what the cricket team is doing in Srilanka.
