T20 overtaking cricket, finally
by sandeep kumar on Apr 24, 2008 02:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Earlier young ppl watching EPL etc are now finally watching India's famous sport-Cricket. They have finally got their own cities to support, so they dont have to worry about manchester or madrid etc. Now its healthy as our youngsters will support Indian sports and promote crocket ion our country. ESPN should also telecast these 2020 games

sports does not have any boundary dude. If our country does not play football well, that does not mean we should watch EPL. We have Ranji Trophy in our country....you guys support ur state on that tournament also. Why need 2020 to support state team???

dude.. u suck...
no way is Ipl comparable to the champions league or let alone any other football league.. the worlds sport passion is football and its rightly termed the beautiful game... it w'd take some stopping for the Ipl to sideline the growin popularity of soccer in this country... and that too u hav understand that this is a sport whr the national team lies somewhere in the 150th ranking position....

IPL is a stupid copy of some Rugby league in USA. EPL, la-liga etc are the arena's of the most beautiful game in the planet.. FOOTBALL>>> There is 250 million football lovers in India. Since you aren't one of them do not watch ESPN/StarSports. If Indians do not know how to play the game its none of their problem. Further the english who started playing cricket has abandoned the same for football. Believe it my man Football is the most exciting, beautiful and challenging sport in the world.

Not the best game...
by PS on Apr 24, 2008 12:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Expected a lot out of this! But the game was entirely played in the middle, with both teams, esp ManU, lacking composure in the final third.

I just fail to understand ManU going into a shell. They are the best team on form in Europe, and Barca the worst, yet they were timid and played on counter-attack. That summed up the boring (disappointing) game.

Barca the worst? Are you sure? ManU was watching and learning how football has to be played on that day! Such a disgusting game. Alex seems to have been terrified of Barca's skills. To be fair I have never seen ManU play so negatively. It sure spoils ManU's reputation and will not win them any fans!

I agree with you. Barca showed the arrogant ManU men how it is done. They were unlucky not to score due to bad finishing.

Don't be surprised if ManU lose at Old Trafford next tuesday.

Barca

Yesterday's match was very good. Both were trying to rock their goal. But 60% of the ball possession was with Barca. ManU was playing good but they cant make it worth yesterday! Hope they will make a come back !

If Henry was allowed to play for Barca from the kickoff time, he may convert a couple of shots into the net!!!. Rooney was not that good yesterday!!!. Waiting for ManU come back.

I wonder why Man U gave the penlty kick to Cristiano Ronaldo most of the time even after he failing to convert earlier ones?
