If somebody pull out on personal grounds it is not all a news. But if they are protesting China they should speak it out openly. Otherwise, what is there to carry it as a "news".
Bear in mind, if India is going to host Olympics do anybody think that the International
media (synonym for Reuters, AP both controlled by US corporates) would abstain from raking up the Kashmir issue and similar things. The West is jealous of China (or any third world country developing faster)and that is why the Tibet come up at this particular time.

Two confused sould do not add up to 1 wise man. No comparision between the situation in Tibet and that in Kashmir:-
a) the people in Tibet have been kept to a minority by migrant Han and Muslims from the Xinkiang province-a deliberate ploy by the Chinese to dictate the demographic pattern in Tibet. On the contrary, the Kashmiris have a policy of protecting native Kashmiri identity through Residency certificates and article 370;
b) the Govt of J & K does not interfere in the appointment of religious heads like the Chinese did with the Panchen Lama, and trying to discredit the Dalai lama who is revered the world over;
c)Some so-called"suffering Kashmiris" are instigators of terrorism and violence. They were celebrating in large numbers in Srinagar and Anantnag, when the then Homw Minister, Mufti Syed's daughter was released from kidnappers ine xchange of release of 5 deadly terrorists;
d) The Tibetans have had their religious artefacts systematically destroyed, removed or violated by successive Govts since 1959;
e) They have never had even a "selection" which is what many rigged elections were called in Jammu and Kashmir; it is clear that rigged elections sponsored by the Govt would not have allowed a known India-baiter like Mufti(which gave him the honour of being home minister) the opportunity to win;
f) The native Kashmiris were accomplices, if not active instigators, to the forced migration of Kashmiri pandits, the original inhabitants, who suffer like the Tibetans o

True ... and of course Kashmiris are still being victims of cultural imperialism of jehadis on their basic Hindu culture over centuries. We must return Kashmir to what it was 1000 years back. The trouble is only a small part of kashmir - which is the valley area where Jehadis are active - the rest of Kashmir is Buddhist and Hindu ( 70% area )

It's not only that, she has opted IPS as her first choice when she could have easily got IAS if opted for.
