Tendulkar should withdraw
by Jojee Joseph on Apr 08, 2008 12:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This Olympic torch replay is an opportunity to express how you felt about Tibet's current state of affairs. Tendulkar being an icon of Indian sport, should withdraw from the relay.

Mr.Naik, I think you are looking for some cheap publicity by commenting on Tendulkar. Tendulkar does not need to look for publicity, he has enough of it to last his life time, which you cannot digest. Do something meaningful than criticize someone without basis.

if it were some other people involved - we would have been less caring. The Tibetans are our spiritual brothers following the right path given by Gautam Buddha and we cannot see to get them hurt by the Chinese. Anyone who does not feel for Tibetans does not have a heart.

Olympics ARE politics. The Chinese are using the games to show the world everything is hunky dory and get respectability . They need to be shown the mirror and given the same respect two bit despots get.

No one expects Coke, Pepsi or any other such company to do charity, even if they claim to do so at times. By the same token, we the consumers don't need to be charitable towards these companies or their paid loud-speakers. Remember every paisa these people and the companies have come from your pocket or mine. We the consumers are the real bosses! And we should show it, when necessary.

The policy of appeasement towards China by Congress and the indian communists is a genuine problem (Nehru giving up UN security council seat to Communist China and then getting a handsone return in 1962, not to talk about the communists - spelled with a lower case c). But these public entertainers most probably have a different motive. It is called greed. I don't get the Korean connection you mentioned.
