I pray for his long stay at the wicket...he is my greatest sportperson but today...even he...the great Sachen Tendulkar...a captivating master blaster, a champion choose to stand with the Olympic whose spirits are doused everyday in Tibet. Why Tendulkar ? if you need money...just let us know we will collect money from all over the world for you but do not do this....carrying a torch is like taking a Tibetan to funeral. You are our role model...do not allow us to defame you, it will hurt us to say things you do not deserve...you do not deserve to be part of Beijing Olympic party on the roasyed Tibetan flesh. You should not be part of the crime China is committing in Tibet. China is using torch to silence Tibet. Please understand its significance and reconsider your decision. Be our model and stand up for humanity. Do not do what is not expected from you. You will remain our greatest hero if you chose to stand with the Tibetan people. Even Gordon Brown did not touch the torch, he know it has a blood.
tendulkar & Gopichand running with the torch is dissapointing. What happedned to the great P.Gopichand who refused to act for cooldrink company ad because it is not good for health take such a timid step.
as one of the gentleman below said With Great Power comes Great Responsibility.

i think desi, you and i can both agree that sachin has done more for india than anyone here condemning him.....so in my mind he is a true patriot and an excellent ambassador for our country....lets get one thing clear, all the people whocarry the torch, do so for the glory of their own country rather than the host country(china)....are any of us here in any position to question and cast aspersions on sachin's integrity? i think we all know the answer to that....

Samson, you are right...nobody should bring tendulkar here...infact tendulkar should not volunteeer to carry torch if IOA thinks he is the one to carry torch he would be approached by them. I think something is involved here...otherwise, I see no reason why he would volunteer to carry something that will glorify China who has killed and miamed thousands of Tibetan. He is my model but this decision..I will oppose like many of our brothers here. Sport and politics are always associated, and it is human nature to stand for peace and humanity. The pic of sachin carrying torch will forever soil his glorious past. Sachin think again, you are our model.
Mumbai Indians Team is The Best.... IPL is bigger than World Cup
Mumbai Indian Team is the best in the team 2 player Bat with bowler allrounder, 4 players bowler with batsman allrounder, 1 player wicketkeeper with good batsman, robin utthapa & ajinkya rahane should be use parttime bolweer, and bhajji some time done good batting... and lalchand rajput good coach & harsh bogle good advisor.... tendulkar is the best koi care kare na kare....
01. Sachin Tendulkar...All Rounder with Bol 02. Santh Jaisurya.......All Rounder with Bol 03. Ajinkya Rahane.....Batsman/Part time bol 04. Ashely Prince........Batsman 05. Robin Utthappa.....Batsman/Part time bol 06. Abhishek Nair.......All Rounder with Bat 07. Shaunk Pollock.....All Rounder with Bat 08. Shaurav Tiwari......All Rounder with Bat 09. Pinal Shah(w/K)....All Rounder with Bat 10. Harbhanj Sing.......Bowler 11. Lasit Malinga.........Bowler
i equally amused and hurted by this news... how come a personality like sachin tendulkar turn his eyes away and stand in support for countries like china which is champion of human torture and violation of human rights..... i feel ashamed of being a sachin fan..

I think these people (and even tendulkar, whom i worship as a cricketer), just want to focus on the pride of carrying the torch, but not on the 'responsibility' of it.. where in, as I said earlier - With Great Power comes Great Responsibility (Spiderman movie quote..). And these people, now they have acquired Great power, just want to get great pride !!!!

Another one is - If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything! Standing for something is what most guyz (even the strongest ones, physically) are afraid of. As it means committment to stand by the cause, even if you fail.. Ask tendulkar on what he believes about signifance of carrying the torch and his views on Tibet, he'll sideline the Tibet issue :).. Politicians in dress of sportmen!!!

100% agreed with both of u.Point is he being a sportsmen never ventured into books. He doesnt know where is Tibet and who is Dalai. But offcourse ask him bout "bet" (betting)minus the "Ti",and "Dal" (Tendulkars Hotel chain)minus the "ai",he will respond in a jiffy. I am happy that hes carrying the torch. Would have felt sad has an intellectual carried the same.

Well everyone agrees to the sentiments for the people of tibet and even Mr.Tendulkar does that, but carrying an olympic torch for the pride of a nation is far more stornger... well just because one is wanting to be a part of this event doesnt make him insesnitive or anything.. then why is the world still davoring for the USA even after their homicides in IRAQ... see mate i think its a personal choice as one wishes to be associated with.... one cannot be part of everything that goes around this world.. so before talking anything think twice.... it depends on ones persnal choice and ya if you are a sachin fan then doesnt mean that he needs to what his fans want all right.. there are some issues he would like to stand up to and certain he wouldnt....

Not everyone gets a chance to be a part of something as big as this..agreed.. but then not everybody get's a platform to raise a voice of support for Tibet either ! So if Bhaichung Bhutia can pull it off, why can't Sachin.. May be, it's just personal :) huh...
