Well done Indian coach Joaquim Carvalho and his boys. I think india played with lots of aggression and showed good fitness and stamina. Especially to sustain a lead aganist one of physically very fittest team in the world shows that Indian Hockey team has worked hard on its fitness part. Margin of 7-2 victory itself shows the domination by India of the Asia cup. Well done.
guys this is a real moment of rejoice. Congratulations to the Indian Hockey team for their wonderful performance and for giving us the moment to rejoice.
I am very much upset to watch the presentation ceremony.A South Indian song was played in place o f National Anthem.Karunanidhi never got up from his seat to congratulate the Indian and Korean team. Most of the speeches were in Tamil. This shows national non inegrity and i am really ashamed to witness this.I dont know how many have taken this into notice.Anyways hats off to the Indian Heroes...Chakde

Yes, we don't want to be integrity. Atleast neighbour state not willing to share their excess water then how come you can expect the national integrity?

If that is the way you feel Ilango, then you guys should not have held the games in Chennai. First you should sort out the Cauvery water dispute before holding any event of national level in your state. Let the games be held in a place where the people are willing to show national integration.

Tamil is one of the official languages(atleast on paper) in India. I think it is perfectly acceptable to use the language which every one can understand (in Chennai, in the stadium). Now,if I say not accepting other Indian state's languages as unwillingness to get integrated with them? Just by speaking in Hindi you cannot integrate people its the mindset that has to change...unfortunately. What is the point in saying that India is a land full of different cultures and languages?

I can only say that Tamil is fine but where we are holding an International event then i really dont find any justification to what has happened. And u being BA in Hindi is of no value in this context i feel

Again its the attitude which matters isn't it! When a major event is staged in a place, it is natural to have the local folk songs, dance etc. It is just like that. The speeches have to be delivered in a language that the public can understand mate!
What is the problem with you guys? Why can't you accept your own countrymen's language? Why do you get offended by Tamil?

The problem is not with Tamil language but with the attitude of the CM who doesn't even feel to get up during congratulating the players. He even presented the medallions sitting.I think he has real attitude problem.Whaatever has happened will be always right in your eyes but thats one side of the coin.So dont really feel to clarify you more.

Niharika Sharma, Its not that Tamilians don't want to speak Hindi. Tamil is our Mother tongue and it is a language spoken in atleast 10 other countries. We all (atleast on paper) learn Hindi (as a subject). It is just like English.
Now....this is very interesting....so, you can accept and tolerate English but not a laguage spoken by your own countrymen...wow! this attitude certainly should be curbed!

If this really happened, it was in very bad taste. Granted that tamilians don't want to speak in Hindi, but then they could have delivered speeches in English. And the national anthem is a national anthem, it has no language .. it could have been played. I don't understand what is wrong with Tamil Nadu. And I am sure that this is the brainchild of politicians, as always.
