Guys let's not get carried away by this win. It certainly is a good achievement but please remember most of the other top teams like Korea and China had rested their main players for this tournament.
Moreover, the team has to learn to replicate this success abroad. The women's hockey team is a big example. I saw both their last matches here in Hong Kong and for some reason they seemed so scared of the Korean and Chinese teams. There were hardly any attacks and their defence was so weak, it kept leaking goals regularly, losing 2-5 to Korea and 2-4 to China (twice).
Overall, a good win for the men's team - hope they keep working hard and bring more laurels for the nation... Chak De Indiaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
We have done it.Beating a country like Korea has its significance. Hey Indian folks(Bhai aur beheno), wake up and watch atleast for minutes so that the players will not feel that they are only eleven to fight.
Now comes the real task. We have to beat the super powers like Australia,Netherland,Germany, Spain, Argentina & ofcourse Pakistan. If our Hockey players will winn once the World Cup/ Championship or Olympic then the interst towards Hockey will be high rising.
Regards and Salute to Team India(Hockey team is the real Team India as it is our National game as well as Govt.recognized. Not like BCCI which is a privaty body)
