This is indeed a great day for Indian Sports. Especially the manner in which they beat South Korea and the way they dominated the tournament. Never before have we played so well in a long long time.
Media should keep the team, its players & Its Coach in the limelight so that we can know our players & team.
The corporates should step forward - the Mallayas, birlas, Ambanis who are busy making money and only invest in Glamour should set example.
They deserve to bask in glory. Within 3 months of debacle in Germany the way the team has come bak ...Wo-aho.
This is the first step, next is the Championship in December and the qualifiers for the Olypics.

Automatic berth at World Cup. May be an easy tournament for Olympic games, but not automatic entry.. Nevertheless Infinite cheers for Indian Hockey....
whats a award our hockey's heroes r going to receive.............for every goal they will get Rs 1000 and for every that they receive from s.korea our heroes have to pay Rs2000. so finally they r getting net Rs3000 reward from our great Hockey federation.

i feel the same.If the guys lose in cricket no probs but winning a major tournament like this also has clauses that if india has a goals against they lose 2000/-.IHF sucks

In this glorious occassion this is the pathetic reality of our country's sports. Except Cricket other sports are languisihing in closed dungeons.
With money minded greedy officials holding plum posts for years n years whether its Munshi, Gill, Sushma Swaraj, Malhotra cut across party lines there is no accountability.
Worse they will shamelesly take credit for the Success but blame players & Coach for the losses.
ComeOn these players should be awarded INR 10 llakh each now for the win.
And very importantly this team & its mgmt shouldnt be touched for 1 year atleast.

The problem with India is only dirty politics.So as long as we are not in politics this will happen and we can only post this here which wont make any changes.God only save the other sports except cricket

We should keep it up. India could do it after a long time. This indicates India can do it! Only thing we miss the confidence in ourselves. We have keep the tempo and show the world that we can keep our glory intact.
