this proves that hockey is d national sport and i request ppl to stop hyping abt cricket and concentrate on other sports. this is the ideal start cos hockey and other sports played by many countries and cricket is played in very few countries and in one day cricket we are at sixth and in test cricket we are at 3 and no 1...we are the asia's best in hockey...

A great fieldwork by Indian team. Though it's good start in revival of Indian Hockey but such moments were also experinced earlier and were let off by egoistic IHF and Mr. Gill. Thanks to Chak De India this time it seems all India will react to any mis adventure by IHF.
One more thing which disturbed me was the way the presentation ceremony was conducted. Mr. CM chose to give medals and trophy sitting. Even Mr. Gill who is chief developer of Indian Hockey decided to let the cermony more like a political rally than Indian Hockey achievement function.
I think there is serious need for change in view how IHF and Govt sees Indian Hockey.
Indian Hockey team has made us proud.Now, ur aim should be Worldcup and Olympics.Keep the momentum gained up and up.Indian Govt. has to support hockey team to boost their morals by giving financial support and sending them to gain experience in european climatic conditions.
Beating S. Korea 7-2 is simply mind blowing, it is explosive. Hockey at its very best. It is after 20 years that I have watched a hockey match with such interest and I got my money's worth. The last time I had seen such a strong hockey team was almost 20 years back. Except for a few months a couple of years back when Jugraj Singh and Dhanraj Pillai were weaving magic I have never watched hockey in the last 20 years, the Indian hockey team's performance used to be so pathetic. But now I think we have a magical team.
Congrats on your excellent win in the finals of Asia Cup. Well this has revived Indian hopes of great hockey in the times ahead. This also gives an opportunity for the cricket crazy nation to move to some other good game. Chak De India and many more wins ahead.
