Guys, one must also not forget Fedex's mental strength. Against almost anyone except Nadal or Djoko (and perhaps even against these two), Fedex has an inherent belief that he can defeat players. Against Roddick, the match was very tight, but Fedex NEVER had any doubts about winning the TIEBREAKS even, forget the set. He always knows that he can find that extra gear. Especially against Roddick who came with a game-plan circa??-1999 ?Roddick should know by even if he uses a power-based approach, that will quickly break down in 1 or 2 sets, and Roddick is NOT a good defensive player at all (by Coach Connor's own admission).So Fedex waited just for the right moment and seized it, like the 5-4 point in the 2nd set tiebreak. He knew he had 2 serves of his own, so he took 5-4 and held his serve to take the tiebreak 7-4. And the rest of the match for Roddick, being 2 sets to love down was like facing a death sentence, in the words of none other than Andre Agassi, who was the expert commentator on USA network.

Hey r u stupid????Cricket and tennis two r completely diff. game.Sachin is god of modern cricket and so is federer.And whta do u think Sachin is greater than federer.U fool.Tell me how many countries play cricket and how many tennis.And more than that what is more difficult game???And lastly who has greater fans.If u can answer these u will surely know who is greater

By beating formidable former champion Roddick, Federer has proved that he has got what it takes to be at the top for atleast two more years!! In those two years, he may even beat Nadal and win the French!! The greatest player in the open era without doubt!!
It is officail... Federer is GOD! He may loose one of matches,but his game is way beyond the lot.The Kind of shots he hits;the serves are unbelivabale.... A strong serve ; excellent volleys ; majestic dropshots... a perfect package... he is going to finsh will 20 grandslams... atleast for the next 2 years;only nadal can beat him...ONLY on clay! Federer will win the French Open in 08 beating Nadal in the final

Thats too early to say.Next yr I think Nadal will win both french and wimbledon.What say guys????After seeing wimbledon final this yr,I am sure nadal can beat roger in grass also

Yeah tanmoy that's true. Nadal has improved his game a lot in grass. There's no good reason to say that he would lose in the wimbledon next year but Fedex cannot be taken for granted as he is a master of grass courts, the way he moves effortlessly and the angles created during the winners are just incredible. Though he's is much improved player in clay last year he's yet to get near the god of clay - Nadal.
