Chak De India !! The movie might have brought the image of Indian women's hockey to a high in the virtual movie world but in reality it doesn't look like the same. The entire Indian media is behind the Indian men's hockey team who are rocking in Chennai. But the disappointing part is that the Indian media is not showing much importance to our women's team who are currently rocking in Hong Kong. Its sad that our media just settles down by giving a one line headline news. Its time to say Chak de Media on Indian women's hockey team.

Yeah...women's sports has been relegated to unacknowledged remakes of the bollywood...what to do!

I secnd you, Joseph. The media has been partial with a just than a little mention of Women's Hockey feat, thrashing Thailand 16-0. Not a small feat by any measure even if against a lowly ranked team.
Go Girls Go! Thanx rediff for the discussison board.
the movie CHAK DE! INDIA has done nothing to our players. they have always been talented, and if you have not realized, our women are THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS!! where were you all to take notice the last time our women won the tournament? the only difference is, thanks to the movie, more public is drawn towards watching hockey.

Its nice to see the score line...... But where is the media. Only looking after the TRP and two chaneel showing the same match and where is hockey which is being played in India. The news too dont have proper footage. All opurtunistic sob
Chak de. I happened to see the movie. It was excellent. Could some one pls tell me if the actors in the movie are real hockey players? as if they are not, than they have done an excellent job for the game. And yes, the movie seems to have increased the moral of our players. Hope it happens for our cricketers too.

though stamina is an important thing, it is not everything. we have much superior brains, what do we use it for if not to win.
