Yes but we all can improve this situation. I donot blame cricketers but I watch every other sport regularley. Every Olympic, Asian and Commonwealth games.
Though we all keep continuously criticising cricket and our cricketers, how many of us would sit and watch other sports (like Boxing, Badminton, Hockey, etc.) compared to cricket? Companies pour money into cricket because it is the most viewed sport on television. It is also the most read (on newspapers, magazines, etc.) and heard (on radio). So, no wonder that anything relating to cricket makes headlines, but other sports don't. It is WE ALL COLLECTIVELY create this situation.
Well Done. You have done India proud. Your achievement is hundred times better then our overhyped cricketers cum TV ad models. Keep the hard work going. we salute you.
I am fans of all sports and let me say that despite not winning gold standing in front of big contendrs from russia, europe and mainly cuba is challenge.
Here every match is tough and not like cricket where you can easily clear first round with average performance.
After following so many sport I see that cricket is most boring game. A team plays 10 times with same team again and again.Only 8 are competative countries in world and still we say "world Cup".
And main thing is that despite reachest cricket team we are at 7th position out of only 11.
