The jubilation over the ascension of the team known as the "Lions of the Two Rivers" to Sunday's final win over saudi arabia in Jakarta, Indonesia, has given Iraqis a rare respite from the daily violence. The victorious run sent men of all ages cheering and dancing in the streets it show of unity that proved Iraqi factions should come together god bless you boys u had given some cheers to your poeple, team india should learn some thing from them.
congrats to iraqi team......during saddam hussein reign, whenever iraqi team loses a game with kuwait or saudi arabia saddam's son who is sports minister used to lock entire iraqi team members in jail and used to whip them like dogs......

Well said Sony Varghese. I think our friend here, Kalyan, could be a good replacement for Mr. Bush. Find a stupid reason and attack the country. He's just found out a very good reason. Maybe it can be passed on to Bush and provide greater justification for the "WAR ON TERROR".

Congratulations to all Iraq team members who have proved to their countrymen back home that if you unite you can achieve anything. Now its upto the people of Iraq and their various sectarian groups to decide whether to continue bloodshed or to unite and take the country forward from the bloody mess.
