Iraq is victorious ! The Iraqi football team has taught a lesson in how to triumph over the impossible to realise victory. Eye-witnesses say Iraq played an attacking and entertaining football. Brazilian coach Senhor Jorvan Vieira brought a smile to the lips of Iraqis world wide. Viva Iraq !
A country torn by civil war, suicide bombings, daily murders, genocide and foreign occupation. Inspite of odds of this nature their team winning a major soccer event is mind boggling. In contrast countries like Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia,Indonesia, Iran etc. whose football teams are pretty strong could not win inspite of booming economies. India probably would never have sent a team in a crisis like Iraq's.
its very inspiring not just to irqi people but all citizens of world who are not living in best of living condition and face hardship of life daily.these events bring hope that courage and determination value more than money and politics.Congratulation to Iraqi National Football team.Best Of Luck
Difficult to understand that while most posters on this forum take extraordinary pains to paint muslims as bad people with an evil ideology, we see that when it comes to Iraq, they have very soft view of the people there. Despite the fact that the worst Shia and Sunni fundamentalists reside in Iraq and that the only secular party in Iraq - the Baath Party - is as much history as the communist party of USSR ! Most secularists have also emigrated out of Iraq - the rich ones to US/UK and the middle class ones to Jordan. A lot like what happened in Iran.
Even though Iraq has been wrongly treated by all western countries , just for one family of Saddam Hussein, they have shown , just by spirit and law of karma they can overcome injustice. Congrats to the soccer team of Iraq who have won the Asian Cup. The wheel of dharma and karma was truly at show in the Asian Cup final.
It is high time the war is stopped and peace returns to the now "Mess-o-potamia" and becomes Mesopotamia
Supporter of Iraq all the way, it was a pleasure to see the khaleeji idiots, the saudis loose. All those arrogance and feeling of superiority was washed away, atleast in this foot-ball match.
Longing for the day, when the real arab countries like Syria, Jordan and Iraq come to perform high in all the fields, economic, sports, education, etc.
Let the sword swinging, primitive khaleeji tribs run back to the desert and bury themselves in the sand.
wwhy blame all the indians. many players who have energy andenthusiasm and are capable of winning matches are in the audience seat due to poor and bad political misarrangements. i still wonder why a chartered accountant or a doctor or an mba cant be a prime minister or atleast a minister. A look at all our leaders shows we are poor in engaging our leaders. persons not even gone to school, 3rd class or even less than a degree holder occupy prime posts and all educated people just make their own leaving and lead a life of a visitor to the nation. study, earn, live and die. this is what people with qualifications do. everyone pls think.
