Motor sports
by PV Vinoy on Jul 11, 2007 02:48 PM  Permalink

I dont know how may of you guys really know what is motor sports, unlike anyother sport this is one a driver has to have huge investments, yes ofcourse once he starts winning then he obviously wud be sponsored. in india itself the national motor sport event which happens in Chennai and coimbatore costs a driver more than 2 lacs as car rental (for 6 rounds) 50K for misc like stay, food etc. and this is for the junior level racing and for the next level the cost shoots up to 5 lac misc. (this does not include any cost which might happen due to crashing and all) so It is just passion and love for these guys, no doubt he has done himself good. The other name worth mentioning is Armaan Ibrahim who is again from Chennai and doing very well in F3 circuit(not sure if he is F3 or any other circuit).

^^ huh! dat ain true man! I've watched him for a full season as well! F1 aint just abt drivin crazy.. there r lotsa stuff behind the curtains.. hell he was agressive.. with a poor machine he got the car to ruins on almost everygame n i guess thats what the original poster meant..the only chance that he had was the tyre raw affected match.. but bugger over drove again n was out of a comfy 3 position n then to finsih off even below his team mate..

Karthikeyan's Role in williams
by Seetha Ramani on Jul 11, 2007 12:30 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Karthikeyan had already tested for jaguar and jordan but he had only least chances of getting points. But when he was placed as a test driver in BMW williams and now been as a tester in williams have been given karthikeyan more experience and williams chief had already insisted that karthikeyan had proved his ability in reaching higher speeds as well. So I think now karthikeyan should be given a chance so that he could prove others that he is at PEAK to drive for spyker ferrari.

do you think he should continue test driving at williams so that one day he can drive a middle ordered williams or do you think he should be in a jordan/spyker name changed again.just a query.
