Time 2 concentrate for Federer
by sujendra ingh on Jul 10, 2007 10:25 PM  Permalink

nadal may soon become what we'd call as the next federer if federer doesn't put into his energies unlike those times when he's always proved his detractors wrong!! Wake up boy before it's too late.......we love u.......Also keep it up Rafa....better luck next time!! --------suz

Best Match
by swapnil malik on Jul 10, 2007 12:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think the best match ever was between Pat Rafter & Goran Ivanesevic, which was Goran's only wimbeldon title.. It was the best ever match for a longtime.. This 1 also was, but i would prefer the Pat Rafter & Goran Ivanesevic..

good rivalry
by jeeves samat on Jul 09, 2007 06:58 PM  Permalink

Federer had virtually no rival at all in the lost four years. And it was very irritating to see him post easy wins over players 10 notches lesser his standard. With Nadal doing well it shall be an interesting rivalry OR may it the end of good times federer.

fedex & borg
by jeeves samat on Jul 09, 2007 06:55 PM  Permalink

Borg won five consequtive wimbledons and the last of them in 1980, a thrilling five setter against Jon MacEnroe; the next year it was the end of the Borg era, with Mac winning in the winmbledon title in four sets. History shall repeat with Nadal getting the better of Federer in 2008.

Fedrer won it in the third set
by vikram nehra on Jul 09, 2007 03:58 PM  Permalink

Roger Fedrer won the match in the third set. If he had dropped that set it would have been difficult for him. He won the third set, relaxed in the fourth and then won the fifth. It was all masterplanned by genius. He is a true Champion. Hats off to him.

FIVE STAR TREAT
by Nishikant Sane on Jul 09, 2007 03:42 PM  Permalink

It was indeed a five star treat for Tennis lovers. Both champons playing at their best a unforgettable drama full of excitement. It reminded the epic battle beteen Icebrg Borg and volatile Mac in 1980 Wimbledon final.

Wimbledon Final

Grass is not the Mecca for Nadal and Clay is not the Medina for Roger. When will the twain meet?
