Vishy is now on top of the world after vanquishing all in his era and his confidence level is sky high when u have nothing else to prove that u r the boss in this brain game. It is in the fitness of things that he invites one of the all-time greats of the game, Gary back to the competitive chess again to make the field look more glamourous and formidable for the real competition and prove a few points to him not having great records against him in the heydays of Gary. But then, Vishy ur call should not do a Sapmras to u and puncture ur ego and confidence level. But then it would do Gary a great service if he resumes the game having been embroiled in a lot of controversies outside his own field. If that is the intention of Vishy, which i am sure it is, then nothing like it and he is most welcome.

I think Kasparov is more interested in Politics, as he found chess too boring, since there wasn't anyone strong enough to challenge him after Karpov folded meekly in his later stages.

Vishy is trying to entice Kasparov from retirement. Or Kasparov probably realised that Anand could beat him now and that's probably why he doesn't want to come back. He'd rather use his brain to plot political "moves"...
