I have been watching the development of Sania ever since she burst into the tennis scene a few years ago. She started of brilliantly but due to the media intervention she slost her focus for quite a while. As her performance chartcame down the Media lost some of their interest and she started concentrate on her game. Look what she is doing the past few weeks! It is amazing for an Indian lass to achieve the success she has done.
I do hope she keeps away from the media for some time atleast and make her racket do the talking.
She beat 12th rank player in round 1 and 14th ranked Safina today. She defeated copule of top 20 players at Stanford last week. She is on a roll and may make it to top 20. If she can win couple of matches in US open it will be great. Go India!

Sania has come from nowhere to win some great matches and has made a great impact.
She did not have the advantage of East Europeans, who are groomed from very young to make tennis a career. Many of them shift to US and are trained in famous academies.
Sania has also to put up with non tennis issues. That she has overcome such barriers is testamount to her great talents and indomitable spirit. She also takes her defeats in the proper spirit.
Let us enjoy these moments, as it is very unlikely we will produce a tennis player in the near future to reach such heights.
Cheers Sania! As the old saying goes - even the people who came to mock, remained to pray.

Yes I am Confident if Sania works hard than she can reach in the top 10 also. All the best for her from me and from the whole India.
Sania will meet Sharapova in the next match. This should be a great experience for her. I am really excited with india possibly making it 2-0 and now Sania playing well.
It is good to see that she is playing good tennis. Hopefully she will do well in US open. Playing in the US should help her. She seems to be more confident and physically more fit.
