Since, I have been watching Sania for over 8 years and so,as a radio and tv commentator from her jr. stage uptill recently,at the first Asian Hopman Cup tennis championship which Sania and Bopanna won, held at hyderabad on 26th Nov.2006,I have always been sure that this special gene would create miracles in tennis which she has been doing except her enjuries that had stopped her doing better at the international level. 46th rank is not a jock inspite of her latest enjuries. If she is doing any ads so what? why do people become upset on her earnings. Does any one of these -ve people know that how much she donates in charity to poors. I know she has been spending lakhs of rupies for poors. she is one of the biggest tax payers of AP. I request everyone of u to please be ve in ur comments rather than critising on her off the field commitments and iterests. Negative people had been issuing Fatwas to her on her dress code also. How can one play quailty tennis in Burqah or shalwaar Qameeez etc. When,once,I wrote an article on her victory in an Urdu daily,the news paper editor sent his agent to my house with a Fatwa from Deoband(U.P.) on my writing an article about Sania. He wanted to blackmail me but I challanged him if he wanted to publish that Fatwa against me I will give him any amount for that because I will become popular with such cheap publicity. But that agent told me that he was surprised with my confidance and did not do so. Bur even than people have been writig against me by saying that I was writing about Sania and by that Muslims girls are starting to play tennis in shorts and shirts which is against Islam. I do not care and bother about such -ve people who do not know the ABCD of the game. Mor sania bothered about that and she is doing well. so please stop such comments.Speak good of Sanai. She has done too much for the country in tennis. I pray to Allah for her better performance in near future.Aameen summa Aameen. You are absolutely right Mr. Siddiqi. People with a negative mind will always make negative comments . Its good that Sania is ignoring such people. I hope that she does not get pulled into the glitter of the media and concentrates totally on her game. And I also hope that she recovers from her injuries very soon. Her aim should be to be in the top ten, followed by winning Grand Slams!
Its alright , with endorsements etc. However, the photographer, Ms.Sania's costume maker and basically everyone involved didn't do a good job with the photo. Look at that - Sania looks like a street urchin leaning gingerely on a Maruti car at Monda Market, Secunderabad, on a hot sunny afternoon. If that is the effect they want to bring out, that's fine. But the photographer has to get her eyes in line, she should smile - not smirky-ish - and for heavens sake, should wear some decent/striking clothes and not the faded rags. That may be fashionable but they don't go with the whole photo, IMHO.

what does it matter if she is endorsing some products.... It"s only about 15-20 years they have got to earn all that they can. And as she is hailing from an Indian family it wouldn't be long before she marries and retires.... so let her have her way.....
she's not indebted to anyone of us as none of us co-operated while she was coming up....
moreover if people have a problem with starts(cricket, tennis, etc) endorsing products then better don"t watch the same....
ask yourself how many of her matches have you really watched....
Sania is all hype and nothiung else....... Why media gives so much hype who never went beyond 3rd round in mojor tournaments. Play well sania or get lost.

great criticism from a guy who cannot spell "nothing" and "major" correctly .I am sure u have never held a tennis racket let alone know the rigours of professional tennis, Sania is 46 in the WTA and thats something .That is why there is a hype about her srinivas- we indians love to bash our sport stars, and the most vehment are those who have never Played a Sport in their life. My honest advice to srinivas and your like is, get a life man and while you are at it learn some grammar ,then write all you like.

please don't criticize sports stars just because you feel they owe you something... quite frankly Sania is the first Indian woman to come into the top 50s.... even after two years of her breaking grounds she doesn't have a compatriot in the top rung of 100...

hello- I am one of the billion indians who has completed boston marathon 37 miles.. I have never heard of any indian who can run 37 miles.. YEs indians suck in sports. we are not tuned to sports.. We are just empty vessels.. There is nothing inside

It is really a great achievement to run and complete the boston marathon.Very well done. People who doesn't know how difficult it is to run or to hold their diiick upright are the ones who are belittling your achievement. Balls to them . They can just say that a 5 year old kid ran but they can't even run a mile swinging thier pot belly. The 5 Year old kid has also done a wonderful job in completing the marathon,. Wishing you both for your great achievements.
