Dont make it a issue
by Observer on Nov 12, 2006 01:56 PM  Permalink

I dont understand why a small incident of islam becomes a issue n few foolish people try to ignitate n make a hell of it. Sania is no were a muslim repesentative or a muslim figure she is just a sports figure who takes her sports more than the religion n she does all those things to make a sports carrer sucessfull n she is doing tht from wearing a short to becoming a figure right in front of millions of mens fortunatly or unfortunalty she is named muslim n has taken birth in a muslim family thts it. If she wears a burqa or a hijab or she wears a short or doesnt wears anything islam doesnt says anything. Islam has set a few guidelines n moral n boundaries for all men n women if he/she follows then its upto him/her if she wont then he/she cant harm islam or Allah. So making a issue for a girl like Sania is just giving a chance to critise Islam n Muslim. Dont give any importance to her why should we link her with islam hijab burqua or anyother thing relating to islam or muslim when she is far from islam n muslim practices. and the responsible person i want u to say a word tht pls beware there is a Suprem power above u if he cathes u then the whole world will become short for u

Wah Sania !! Wah Rediff !!
by Ganesh on Nov 12, 2006 01:16 PM  Permalink

A good article from Rediff. I totally agree with some of you guys...when you say this is a cool picture and blog from rediff.

Sania, despite achieving such great success and touching heights in Tennis world and becoming so famous has not forgotten her modesty and her roots. She is a TRUE Indian and a TRUE Hyderabadi indeed.....a pride of my country INDIA and my city HYDERABAD. She is seen dressed When she is in her religious place she is seen so traditionally dressed and with parents....who as elders know what is right and wrong for her. Goes to show that she being a traditional Indian girl from the South has carved a niche for herself in the SINGLES events of TENNIS , an area which has not seen any MALE participation or success at a high level eversince Leander Paes won that Olympic Bronze at Atlanta in year 2000.

The delicate lady Sania with her powerplay has put many strong Indian males to shame.... So forget her dressing and focus on her STRENGTH and POWERPLAY ...her TENNIS.

Aapka Pankha (Fan)

One thing i am unable to understand is whether Sorab is citizen of this country or Pakistan. All these people live here, earn livelihood here in this country but speak in favour of Pakistan.

Its the fault of our " Secular" politician who ignore all these things and in the end , the terrorists are having a great time in India at present

THIS IS INDIA
by Ritwika Sharma on Nov 12, 2006 11:39 AM  Permalink

Well this Sania Mirza pic and the related article would spark off such a huge debate among the readers is quite shameful. Fighting over religion just because of a pic, this describes how deep-rooted is the hostility among diff. religions. i request all the readers to please stop posting messages that target the religious sentiments because this serves only one purpose and that is further hampering the unity among the Indians.

Sania mirza in aHijab
by L.Mahadevan on Nov 12, 2006 11:39 AM  Permalink

Everywhere in this world women are treated as a commodity rathr than as a human being prevailing since time immemorial. But man and woman shoulld go in parellel like railway line.Economy thrives mostly because of women. They bear chilren both the sex and not donkeys and monkeys. The stigma that woman is not equal to man is rediculous.women are are doing great things like men do.Sania Mirza cannot play wearing a burqa.

The main culprit is the person who took the picture and send it to rediff.com.
and i saw 2 pictures on zee tv news. Looks like rediff.com has sold these pictures to tv channels to make quick bucks.
People in india do all nasty things for Money.
I feel pity for celebrities like sania, karishma, aishwarya rai etc. whose small small events are published on forums/ news channels. There are too many other issues to discuss on these forums rather than sania's.
Peace..
