Indian...?
by True Indian on Jul 07, 2005 09:23 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Well,

I don't know why rediff has put this very proudly. If this Indian would have participated in a bid for getting the Olympic games to India, then I would have appreciated. Now.... as he has made london as his home from 1967, I guess I will term him more of an Britan and not as an Indian, in this specific case and this doesn't apply to everybody fyi.. There are a lot of ppl NRI, who has done a lot of good things to India.. and this.. I don't see anything big....Nothing to be proud of as an Indian in this case.

It is true he is indian but he is living in London since 1967. Hence he contributed towards London. Did you ever tried to find out why he moved to London. No? Sitting in one corner and Criticize others this is what we mostly Indians do. May i ask you what is your contribution towards India if you are feeling sorry on this statement. Prove yourself first.

Why do we keep harping on what people who are no longer indians do in other countries. Someone please focus on what people are doing in this country.

Indian contributes to London bid
by patriot on Jul 07, 2005 04:08 AM  Permalink

Yeah ! lets be proud that the NRI was comping for the British - the same people who looted and massacred our rich country, made it poor and incapable of hosting Olympics like events !

Call me cynical, but I dont see why these guys should be given headline coverage. They have chosen their priorities and loyalties, and hence they should recieve headline coverage in the land they have accepted to be their own !

Will you please change the grammatically incorrect headline "Indian behind to London's 'Olympic win'"?

Indians
by Lawrence on Jul 06, 2005 11:46 PM  Permalink

Its not surprising to know that an Indian was involved in the lead for the London bid of 2012 Olympics. Indians have been shining and it is their never say die spirit that makes them shine. God bless India and Indians.

When will we start looking at ourselves. That man has lived in England all his life, still we take pride in what he has done for THEM. These people are Indians for just name sake.
