by merely looking at his photo one can be sure that this chap is ready to leave america and come back to India any moment..he is just waiting the dollar to go down a bit more and India develop a bit more...then this chap would be bang back in India...and whats more better than that India's neighbours have now started accepting India's leading role...would further prosper the region and there wont be any need to leave South Asia and go to far away america...just to be bullyed by half educated americans sitting in high positions

whts the point of glorifying his connection to india if he is using his knowledge and apptitude to further the cause of USA 's space ambition ? doesnt India also have a space program ? couldnt he have stayed in India and helped in further research towards INdians space projects ??? I do not understand why we indians praise those that have caused a BRAIN drain in their own country and forgoe even its citizenship ? agreed conditions in USA may be better as well as more enterprising ? but if USA has to look to other foreign nationals to further their own projects , wouldnt we be better than them if these same individuals remained here ??

Its exactly the same thing I always wondered. Why do Indians always boost something they don't own? It will be really inspiring to write something about India's own people who really are doing something good. I am not saying the engineer from Indian origin is no good. but he is more American than Inidan.

There are hundreds of burning issues in INIDA, Media is well aware of those things, they do not bring up such stories. For the sake of publicity and money they do cheap publicity. will Mr.PD feed some hunger or will his brain be used in india for a good pupose?.

How can he contribute in India? If he even plans to do so, our great HRD minister Arjun Singh will make sure that before this engineer lands in ISRO, bunch of OBCs is already recruited. & even if he gets recruited, then Arjun will make sure that he reports to some 10th pass OBC manager in ISRO

Its not Arjun singh, the situaton today is so bad that no political party can take the risk of talking the withdral of the reservation. And I think that is because there is not enough support for a party talking anti reservation. People do not give a clear lesson to a party that just talks reservations and reservation. There are parties being elected on cast issues even today... its our ppl and not only the ploitics... its us!!!

I think u people r writing too much about the impact of reservation. since last 50 years SC/ST are availing the reservation quata facilities. are the ruling our country? are they able to lead the any general categories group of people? dont hype this reservation and hide ur incompetnecy. In India, we have many oppertunities. if u gusy have talent u can use in so many places. why only forward people ahs right to rule the cuntry. what is the wrong in resrvation? Nowhere forward people are loosing any seat(whether it is IIM/IIT) in any university. then why so much cry. it only bcz forward people will loose the unnecessary power they are enjoying right now.

Swamy,
Charity begins at home. If you cant look after yourself, what would you be able to do for society or nation? So, every successful person has to be selfish (selfishness as understood by your kind of people). If Mr. Desai is working in the US, he is not working for the US of A. He is an employee of a private company which is involved in the project. Because he went to US, he got the opportunity to work in such important projects. He might be earning loads of money, experience, knowledge, expertise..... I am sure he wont take every thing with him to the grave. Now, he must be supporting a family, taking care of studies of siblings, narrating his experiences to near ones... enriching others in an indirect way.. prompting them to achieve things.

Surprising that nobody had any objection when Indians went abroad as cane field labourers or part time merchants, earned money, settled there and have a name for themselves.

Dude India is a great country, zero doubt in that. The system we follow is shit and people who live in this country is pathetic. We spend 99% of thinking time towards religion and caste. We exagerate things like communal violence, we always talk abt it but in 60 years of time we havent come up with a internal soln for that. We fight based on religion, then south and north, then state , then what not ? at the end we need some one beside to blame and fight. By that time US would have settled in Mars looking at how India fights as their favourite baseball game.

Mars landing and Indian touch
by akshay gupta on May 27, 2008 01:29 PM  Permalink

You say indian contribution in Mars landing. It means Indians are working in the US and not depriving or the americans are not ill treating indians there.
BUT in India we ill treat even our own citizens and make them mentally disturbed so that they cannot perform well. No wonder indians do much better abroad.
Shame on India and its administrators.
When we come back to India we have to fill in the form etc despite being indian citizens. In other countries we only need to show pp and just go out in 2 seconds.

THE STORY OF INDIA .... Continued
Opposition MPs stage a walkout. Left parties call for 'Bengal Bandh' in West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry. CPM in Kerala immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers.

Lalu Prasad allocates one free coach to grasshoppers on all Indian Railway Trains, aptly named as the 'Grasshopper Rath'.
Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the ' Prevention of Terrorism Against Grasshoppers Act' [POTAGA], with effect from the beginning of the winter. Arjun Singh makes 'Special Reservation ' for Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions & in Government Services.

The Ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes,it's home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by NDTV.

Arundhati Roy calls it ' A Triumph of Justice'.
Lalu calls it 'Socialistic Justice '.
CPM calls it the ' Revolutionary Resurgence of the Downtrodden '
Koffi Annan invites the Grasshopper to address the UN General Assembly.

Many years later...
The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company in Silicon Valley, 100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in India,
.
..AND
As a result of loosing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the grasshoppers,

India is still a developing country%u2026!!!

Fantastic.

Ironically in India, those who champion the cause of grasshoppers all live in comfort of own palatial houses, travel in latest cars or jet around the world and enjoy all the best things in life.

Celebrated environmentalists use the most polluting cars, wear synthetic dress produced in a polluting factory, use furniture made by felling trees or other eco-non friendly inputs.

Irony is the specialty of India.
