Proud American
by Yash Bhatnagar on May 27, 2008 02:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

He is a proud American. America gave him the opportunity and he should be loyal to America. Truth be told - talented people like him would be frustrated here - caught up in the red tape tangle, religion and caste bullshit. Lots of talented people leave India - not because they do not love it - they leave it because they do not have the energy to deal with all the bullshit that goes on in our daily lives - CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION EVERYWHERE.

Can NASA Go Beyond This ?
by sachin mahajan on May 27, 2008 02:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

For some people it's a great acheivment. For some it's a wastage of money.Infact most of the poor people across the globe might not bother also about this mission 'Mars'!

But human beings & NASA in particural has to think beyond this. They can utilize their findings to explore, produce & import energy sources which are fast delpleting & required for earth.

Dear Mr.Murthy,

There is nothing wrong in your message. As all are aware that oil prices are rising on alarming level. Common man in India & everywhere in the world is feeling the heat of rising prices of commodities like food.

What I want to say is that NASA has to go beyond this to find out possible sources of energy available on Mars so that either human being can go to Mars or we can have some energy sources which can be imported from Mars.

Why there is always a hype for the people who have already India
by Good Will on May 27, 2008 02:41 PM  Permalink

I dont understand why the Media, Television and Media combined, create such a fuss when a person have already given up his or her citizenship of India for the dollar sake. Are they deserved still deserved to be called Indians?

Why are they being honoured with Medals and Padmshree and all the other things when they have already left India. For me that seems ridiculous. They call them into India and give them medals so that other upcoming individuals to follow their footstep's so that they should realise once they have degree they should leave India.

I think Media and the Government should stop this nonsense.

Dirty politics
by Navin Shahane on May 27, 2008 02:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Majority of the Indians will progress a great deal, if they drop dirty politics and hatred from their hearts. The country as a whole has got a great potential to be a super power, surpassing advanced countrys like US, Russia, UK etc. we just need to have a better discipline, better self management.

Surpassing US Russia ?

USA 300 nobel prize winners, only 2 are Indians

UK 100 nobel prize winners with a country only 2% of India's population.

Russia 10,000 nuclear warheads, world top defence item exporter, top clout, accepted superpower in world top circles. Everyone FEARS Russia with bone chilling terror.

About INdia - Not able to tackle tiny tots like bangladesh and Pakistanis, what superpower BS are you talking about ?

What world leading Inventions have come out of India in the last 20 years of economic boom ? ZERO other than being coolie slaves doing donkey work for American IT companies and then taking PRIDE in being a F slave.

What is trade share of India in the world, I forget is it 0.7 or 0.8.

Keep barking nonsense India will do this India will do that, India will do NOTHING and every year we see some handful of people become FILTHY RICH while majority wither away in poverty.

India has maximum number of hungery and poor people in the entire WORLD.

PLease read carefully what I have written ... if we drop politics an dhatred from our heart ... that's the key issue. You should have your inferiority complex treated by a good doctor.

Indians have always been at the forefront of the technology but those days noble prizes were not given. The greatest invention of all time ZERO has Indian origin, the numerals that you write have been devised by Indians .... get your facts right my friend before you post!

India is a Great Country, But majority of Indians are not tolerable
by siraj DH on May 27, 2008 02:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Welldone Prasun Desai, India is a great country, zero doubt in that. The system we follow is shit and people who live in this country is pathetic. We spend 99% of thinking time towards religion, caste and beurocracy. We exagerate things like communal violence, we always talk abt it but in 60 years of time we havent come up with a internal soln for that. We fight based on religion, then south and north, then state , then what not ? at the end we need some one beside to blame and fight. By that time US would have settled in Mars looking at how India fights as their favourite baseball game

But despite all the problems we have survived, and did relatively well .......Ex PM Late Indira ji used to quote Iqbal for the indomitable spirit of Indians........

"Unan o misr or Roma sab mit gaye jahan se
Aab tak magar hai baki namo nishan hamara
kuch baat hein ki hasti mithi nahin hamari
saadiyo raha hai dushman daure jahaan hamara..............................................Here Unan Misr and Roma means the Civilisation and culture of Greek,Egypt and Roman................

I disagree with you, it has it's own value, rather I would say all holy books are hinting something good to us. But we always link it with religion and will try our best to find fault in that. We should be looking at the half FILLED part of glass rather then the empty part.
