Something is seriously wrong in the way you think Chaliya.

You are convulating facts and presenting them with logical inconsistency - just to rationalise your view, which is that Congress has been wronged. There may not be any real substantiation but you still prefer to live in your own world of rationalisation.

CPMs records:-
Being in power only in two states forever (except the vilage tripura).

massacring poor Mulsim Farmers in Nandigram and grabbing their land. Killing RSP workers on the streets and getting defeated in panchayat polls.

Getting the single CPM MLA in Karnataka defeated. CPM=0 in Karnataka.

There is a lot to learn from CPM !!!

RE:percentage of votes

Oh, come on, that has something to do with our electoral system.

It is an interesting observation.

Cong gets 35% votes, but only 80 seats.

BJP gets 34% votes, but 110 seats.

I am glad that BJP won, but at the same time, there is something severely wrong with the way the electoral system is working. Something similar happened to BJP in 2004 Lok Sabha elections. I am only worried that this flaw may work against BJP sometime in future.

Guys, we must think of this and amend the constitution if necessary.

Hi,
Percentage of votes polled is an average across all the constituencies. This includes all the seats that were won and lost.

A clear case of votes and vote swing is studied only by looking at the vote percentage of win seats and vote percentage of loss seats.

An across the board average does not work in real terms........

Now, dont get me wrong...I am no supporter of any of the parties that were in fray.....

Now that BJP is the single largest party, it should be allowed to work peacefully, without worrying about defections and other threats from the opposition.

I think we need to amend the constitution, so that unscrupulous politicians do not manipulate the electoral results.

This is a clear mandate for BJP, and let it be given a chance.
