We muslims arent against BJP per say. I being a Muslim and have voted for BJP in Karnataka. Congress rule have created corruption in every govt dept.We Muslims are fed up of Congress fake promises. We too want change and expect BJP Govt to be secular and not biased against minorites. They need to change there attitude towards minorites if they want to rule this country for ever.I wish Yeddiruppa all the best and awaitng to see Mr Advani as PM of this country.Cong is sinking ship. One more thing i would like to remind my BJP brethren please stop Muslim bashing we are true Indains than any body who claims to be.

Winning Tamil Nadu is difficult. But winning Uttar Pradesh is now impossible. BJP shall remain out of contention at the Centre unless they recapture Uttar Pradesh, and fast.

I think still TN has a role in BJP's victory in Karnataka. Yediyurappa was shrewd enough to use the Hokkanekkal issue first, by visiting the site in person. This awakened the sleeping congress and SMK made a statement against Karunanidhi. But, that was too late.
Now, I am not sure how BJP is going to do good well in TN. Because, it was the central BJP government which approved the Hogganekkal project in 1998. Now it the BJP which is opposing it as well. So, it is no different to other parties in terms of oppurtunism. It is a very long way for BJP in TN.
Yes, the author is right. For BJP Gujarat was an incredible win, as Modi was pitted against the whole nation. Except Gujaratis and BJP supporters, no one wanted Modi to win again and every secularist worth his salt left no stone unturned to ensure Modi's defeat. Given this scenario, certainly Karnataka win is more credible than Gujarat for BJP, because Gujarat was an incredible win against heavy odds!

Do you mean to say all those who voted for BJP or Modi are communal, Mr.V S? That itself shows your communal `mindset'. Just imagine, if all those who vote for BJP are really communal, the minority community in this country has to run for cover with no place to hide. It is only because the BJP supporters are truly secular and follow Hindu ethos, there is peace and harmony in this country. It is the Congress, Communists and the other secularists who are busy dividing the Hindu society, appeasing the monorities and then shouting from the roof tops that BJP is communal. Perhaps the time has come in this country to redefine secularism and communalism. Change your mindset and vote for BJP for a truly secular state Mr.VS!

It was NOT communalism in Gujarat that won the votes and hearts of Gujaratis. Even Gujarati Muslims have voted for BJP. NM has shown once again that if you can bring all-round development in the state, everyone will support you. He has provided peaceful and propserous life, free from any violence. Communal riots have become a past history. It has been proved that NM was against those who cruelly burnt innocent passangers in Sabarmati Express and not against a law-abiding, poor and nation-loving (Indian nation, not Pakistani nation) Muslim brother.
Why does Sheela Bhatt sound like a Congress insider and feel apologetic for its dismal failure. Aren't these journalist supposed to be neutral? Look at the words... Shrewd BJP and secular congress. Come on, why are these biased journalist still keep around. Fire them!

hardly. but if she reads your comment - she'll be quite happy. happy that she has passed off as a typical pseudo-sec writer in the reader's eyes. its a pity that journalists and columnists need to write whatever they have to say in the garb of pseudo-secular words. but this will soon change i hope.
