King Maker turns zero
by Manali Thomas on May 26, 2008 10:12 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The pre poll propaganda and even predictions by various agencies that JD(S) will be a king maker, proved to be wrong and myth. Gowda clan bit the dust and only two sons and daughter-in law will remain in the party. The down to earth opportunists, father son due, deservd the treatment. When 79 strong BJP allowed 40 strong minor partner to become CM, a simple logic ,should have shown to hand over the power graciously. But Sr.Gowda put spikes and stopped the process dilly dallying. Saying half yes and half n, they only showed their worthiness. ' Jaise Karni.. vaise.. bharni'. Now Sr Gowdacan go for vanvas.

Good that Business Friendly party is elected
by Sharad on May 26, 2008 01:53 AM  Permalink

I am happy that a Business Friendly party has gotten elected, instead of a neuterred congress party friendly with the traitor, anti-national communists. BJP should invite some independents and JD(s) members into its party and rule with absolute majority instead of forming a weak coalition govt like the congress in the centre.

verdict is both for BJP and against fake secularism...............

Congrats on winning karnataka...........BJP marching for 2009.......psuedo-secular group(congress,JD(S), communists) once again say that secular votes are divided thats why they lost......but the fact is that issues like inflation and terrorism are taken seriously by people.......all that congress does is chanting the psuedo secular mantra all the time.....replace sonia and rahul.....

Firstly, we should not use the word BORDER. States are artificially created on the basis of language only for the purpose of getting the votes by the politicians. State philosophy is used by politicians to make money. Nowhere in traditional scrips has told that culture is based on language. Hindus have initiated in realising the facts not fradulent statements of politician or media.

Let Belgaum people should decide Which state Belgaum should be. why we should decide it. Take election on it, let Belgaum people chose between Maharashtra or Karnataka.

Dear Nomanland,

By your logic, if the people of North Kerala, or of J & K or of parts of UP or Andhra want to be part of Pakistan, will you cede these parts to Pakistan?

Anand YNI- for your information Keralites never demanded any seperate state. Except for the commies who kill opponents in cold blood in class rooms, in front of students. the life is quiet. The 'charges for watching' charged by commies and scarcity of industry which is result of intermitant misrule of commies, Kerala is surely 'God's own country.'The plebistic demand is only raised by Pakistan , touching the religous chord of JK Muslims.

Regional parties not conducive to national interests
by mallaiah anchoori on May 25, 2008 11:15 PM  Permalink

It will be good if TRS,the regional party led by a self styled and disgruntled politician ired by his unsuccess to get berth in the ministry in TDP also meets with the same fate as in Karnataka in the ensuing state elections.Except rare regional parties like TDP all others in the country have miserably failed to deliver the goods to the people. These parties like TRS or SivaSena with their parochial out look floated mainly to rake up/ exploit the sentiments of locals with the sole aim of gaining political mileage so as to capture power and with avoidable expenditure to the national exchequer by their ding dong political moves culminating in bye elections etc.serve no national interest. They are mostly used as pawn by major parties in securing numbers towards majority in the event of the latter unable to form government with its thin numbers;in other words they serve as means to manipulate by the major parties. There is a felt need to discourage mushroom growth of such regional parties which only add to the size of the ballot paper & forgo even the deposits of their candidates in the interest of avoiding confusion to the electorate & enable them to have a clear vision of perspective of competence of the parties in the race. When the entire world is towards the concept of "Vasudhak Kutumb"(oneness of the whole world),these parties hanker around slogans like "Separate Telangana","Non-locals go back" etc.In fact, there should be only two parties in our country like in USA/UK.
