karnataka politics
by rajagopalan nadimuthu on May 26, 2008 10:38 PM  Permalink

Imagine if the poll sum of both JD ( S ) C = 110.The gowde would have installed either his son as the CM or any weak candidate like Dhram from as a puppet CM of Karnataka .The so called CM has to dance to the date to day tunes of Gowde saab. The instablity would be the order of the day and the development would be the biggest casualty at the hands of this family clout. unless the BJP engineers split in JD ( s ) to ensure better majority ,Karnataka has to face another election by nextyear .This should be read in the context of Kabil sibal' & Moily's open invitation JD ( s ) on the pretext joining secular forces. What is secular in their lexicon is minoriy appeaement ,caste politics and turning blind to the terrorist attacks. Let God save Karnataka .Raj

Somebody enlighten me, has this man contested elections and if so did he win, lose, or lost deposit? What is the worth of his resignation when the entire party is out in the bin?

Introspection need of the hour
by Manali Thomas on May 26, 2008 10:30 AM  Permalink

JD (S) leaders should sit together and introspect the reason for defeat. Misrule and looting the mineral belt, betrayal to BJP, spiking all prestigeous projects with silly reasons all contributed for the downfall. JD(S) which single handedly , handled the adminstrtion, has become 2nd runnerup. only one third of the winner. Now BJP's minister can take up the criminal case against Kumaraswamy. But ensure that the case is ending up to a logical conclusion, before his 5 year term ends.

JD -SPresident Resigns
by Gandhi on May 26, 2008 02:48 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

No big deal id Patel resigns. Mr Kumaraswami and Devagoda should accept defeat and resign and keep away from ploitics as its they who have been rejected by people. People took them as treachrurs after they broke their promise of power sharing with Yedurappa.

They have not made their quota of Rs.500 crores from looting. They have tasted power & wont give up that quick. They are the betrayers of democracy.

Karnataka: JD-S state president resigns
by Rajesh Anantharaman on May 25, 2008 10:54 PM  Permalink

Great, there could not have been a better opportunity to rid himself of the old man. Poor guy must have felt caught with a position of eminence doing a postman's job. I bet he must be greatly relieved to be unemployed than to be the public face for the crap that the old man dished to the world and ofcourse to him. I hope merajuddin did not invest very heavily on the party, for the old man was not known to employ president's who did not pocket party expenses while on the role.
