For all those glorious warriors here
by Inspector Vijay on May 25, 2008 06:51 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All those people saying "abolish caste system" , "save India" etc. etc. I would like to request them to set an example themselves by marrying a low caste girl/boy (or getting their younger brother/sister married to a 'low caste'). Just talking on a message board is not enough. If you can't do this, please shut your mouth here.
I am appaled by these 'high caste' message board specialist who preach equality but practice casteism every day in their life.
Inspector Vijay
Shame on you

This is a direct result of the reservation and caste politics. That is why even ambedker had cautioned that reservation policy should be reviewed after two decades of independence. It has been six decades and it is cleaarly evident that it is not working. If any, there are more communities under the unbrella of reservation, which clearly shows that the nation, as a whole, is going backwards. There are onlly three options left- either scrap all the reservation or elect a regime that is honest and fair, or a combination of both. The India we know of, none of these options can be implemented for another 100 years. Then the only alternative left for us is to demand an alternate form of governance- maybe another revolution where the tsars and dynatic family rule should be completely abolished and the candidates selected for runing elections should be selected by the people BEFORE they are awarded tickets. That way, they will feel the moral obligation to do something for the area that got them ticket. In todays scenerio the only factors that effect getting a ticket are money, guns, family and power. The factors that DO NOT matter are honesty, integrity, eduction, past track record, popluarity with common people. As long as there is caste/religion/region politics , people will keep dying and our rulers will remain complacent in their palaces forging alliances and celebrating birthdays. There should be some provision that people can de-vote their representative on non- performance.

Nobody forces you to vote for them. In the polling booth, its YOU, YOUR VOTE and BALLOT BOX, nobody else. So use you conscience and choose the best.
Yes there should be option for negative voting.
Yes there should be provision to remove an elected representative; but then both are subject to calculated misuse

This Happens Only in India

1)Every minute women are being raped and girls being killed before birth..
2)Public office holders ask Bribe as their fundamental right.
3)Most corrupt political system in the world..
4)Politics of Caste and Religion is making this country intellectual free.
5)Reservation is an Injustice done to this multicultural society...
6)Most unfriendly tax system in the world and govt. for their vote bank gives 60,000 Cr (your hard earned money)as loan waiver, instead of spending it on infrastructural facilities.

We get what we deserve....
please come together irrespective of Caste and Religion, and save the country now..
We need a new political system in India, not Congress who has sucked the nation's blood for the past 50 years, not BJP who uses the name of religion only to get into the Power, not Left Front who always obstructs Progressive Decisions, No more dirty politicians who are constantly dividing this country..

Congress behind this
by suneera rahman on May 25, 2008 04:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Gujjars are like any other community in India except the fact that recently the have learn the bargaining tactics under a leadership- a quality that becomes a must for survival in the democracy that thrives on dividing hindu majority.
Unfortunately this leadership has fallen prey to the congress which is controlled now by Xian crookedness. Under ST status conversions can happen with no hassles.
Why now? I had anticipated this the moment Cogress leaders blamed BJP of politicising terrorist attack. In the name of Minority appeasement, the soft stand taken by Congress towards terrorists is known to every rural and urban India- atleast BJP has been successful in communicating that to people. Any terrorist attack in the country errodes Cogress base. At every such instance Congress wnats something that forces BJP govt. to take strict and unpopular measures.

meena'a have 300 IAS officer as they are SC while Gujjars have only 2 IAS. This is ust an indicator why they r angry.

BJP in its state election manifesto promised to inclde gujjars in ST list. But after coming to power, they backed out. Like after all hue and cry they made (remember "mandir wohi banayege"? slogan), they didnot put a single brick just to stay in power.

REMOVE CASTE SYSTEM BECAUSE IT IS A DISGRACE
by rakshak on May 25, 2008 03:52 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

INDIA SHOULD TRY TO REMOVE POVERTY AND UNEMPLOYMENT BUT NOT ON THE BASIS OF CASTE. POOR PEOPLE SHOULD BE HELPED WHO EVER THEY ARE. CASTE SYSTEM IS ONLY DIVIDING INDIA FURTHER.

Do you think there isa single politician in India who thinks in terms of progress of this country?
If they do this, they loose their vote bank,
Their policy is divide and rule.
Can you think of doing this in China, what Gujjars are doing here..if they do that in China..they will be part of the history..and no gujjar will be left to make any such demand.

I hope
by Dr. V. M. Gaikwad on May 25, 2008 03:43 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

One day when all the Govt. and bureaucracy is run by SC/ST/OBS, I hope they will be considerate enough to grant reservation to rest of us.
I wouldn't mind if a deserving person benefits from reservation, but its exactly the opposite. Only the cream among these people get the benefits of reservation. I knw a person who is a first class officer and his son also became a first class officer bcoz of reservation. If they extend the unfair benefit to one generation then that is it,, I don't think all the generations need to be spoon fed.

Please Give Reservation to Gujjars
by vipin nayyar on May 25, 2008 03:27 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If the govt. keep on increasing the reservation list with limited number of seats and employment, more and more people will come under the reserved categoy and soon a day will come when no caste is going to get the benefits of this list and they will fairly compete to get even reserved seats...
Ha Ha Ha Ha....

RE:Please Give Reservation to Gujjars
by All Right on May 25, 2008 05:19 AM  Permalink

:-) I agree...

There probably will be "reservations" needed to be even considered for selection in the "reserved" category.. :-)
Like the present instance, Gujjars are slowly making it to be noticed as contenders for reservation... others have some ground to catch up on...

If only Ambedkar was alive today, he'd be sorry he ever proposed reservations in this country.. the great man had prescribed reservations to go away after 10 years assuming they would have done their job of bringing some form of equity... and here we are, 60 years later... where newer and newer categories are springing up daily.. . :-) :-) :-)

I seriously endorse your earlier idea of giving reservations to "everybody" ...
