Karnataka, which has a track record of not implementing Supreme Court's orders, has no reason to complaint against a lawful activity of TN. Karnataka should first learn to obey the law of the land first.
I think Karunanidhi could have waited for few more days for the new government to sworn in and then could have had meeting with new CM and solved the problem. Now all the kannada chauvinist organizations will be on their feet. Proper education of people should be done through media about the project, good will mission to be carried out with help of NGO groups and then project should be started.
Even after that pro kannada organizations protest, then both Karnataka and TN governments should work in unison to put the trouble makers before law and proceed with implementation.
BTW, whether Congress comes to power or not, they have responsibility to make sure that project is implemented on a calm environment.

Are you trying to cause hatred between Tamils and kanadigas? There will always be people in every state who will encourage thsi kind of behaviour for one reason or another.

We all(the sane minded people) in India & the world over have noticed it my friend.
He was waiting for the elections in Karnataka to be over. PM touched his feet before elections. He kept quiet so that gullible voters could be fooled to vote for Congress. Had he taken this step before elections, then Congress prospects would have been hit as he is an ally of Congress. Now, as the votes are sealed - Hell with sentiments ok Karnataka people !
karuna the master statergist has given right blow at right time. he slowdown temporarily to prevent BJP from using the issue to target congress and on the request on sonia. but once voting is completed and even before voting is counted the project is started. now no body will stop karuna- the master statergist

This is not a 'master strategy' it is actually cunningness of the highest order. He has fooled the common people of Karnataka. This act, of waiting till elections are over so that his ally can get votes, is not of a leader, but of a conman and an utterly selfish person. Whether the project is right or wrong is not the issue here.

Remember Cauvery riots back in 90's. It could happen again in Karnataka which would cleanse all tamil population. MK should have acted prudently. Now new govt has nothing to loose. It could go all out open riots

Remember there can be riots in Tamilnadu too which can cleanse the state from trouble creating kannadigas.
