Shivraj Patil
by Prasanna Diwadkar on May 15, 2008 05:38 PM  Permalink

This is what happens when you have inefficient Home minister like ShivRaj Patil. He may not be directly responsible but obviously has to accept some blame.Indian intelligence agencies, less said the better.Within few hours we see 'suspects caught' and in custody. The same organizations didn't seem to have any clue whats happening inside/outside country before blast.

To take firm action , we need PM with balls. MMS is good for nothing. Congress with its minority appeasement policy is curse on India.

We don't need sympathy, we need solution
by mahendra sapa on May 15, 2008 05:36 PM  Permalink

What are these Jokers doing here. We don't need sympathy, we need solution. These people are always "Hamee Dekhna Hai Ki....". They never act. But guess what, it's we, ordinary citizens are at fault because we are hoping that these strangers will solve our problem. We can't be more wrong then this. Unless we take a plunge into politics and armed forced these problems will continue.

We have to act, else one day India will be history.

Another Gujarat needed in Rajasthan
by ketan dand on May 15, 2008 05:34 PM  Permalink

Every time a bomb blast happens, there should ideally be another Gujarat-style retaliation. Look at how Gujarat has been peaceful since the riots. Simple solution.

Disturbing Trends
by Nazneen on May 15, 2008 05:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The trends in the thinking pattern of educated elite from majority community from India are very disturbing and an harm the social harmony, exactly achieving the goal the terrorists want to achieve. India, as a Nation, is developing at a great speed. Few people putting forth their views echoing to take similar action as Modi took in Gujarat will definitely halt the development of this Nation in many ways. India is looked with great admiration all over the world for our peaceful co-existence. Now, few terrorists do not want that. Do we then fall prey to their evil designs. Moreover, howmuch humane is it to kill the innocents from minority as was did in Gujarat for the wrongs perpetrated by a few fanatics.

We have our selves to blame for these disturbing trends. In 1947, Muslims killed Hindus and Sikhs in lakhs and cleansed what is now Pakistan of all non-Muslims. In 1990, Muslims of Kashmir cleansed Pandits again Hindus from Kashmir.

Then when cartoons appeared in Denmark, worst amongst collected and made menacing gestures to the world in front of TV Cameras. But when blasts occur we fall silent and as if we don't care that the whole world now knows the source of trouble.

Don't blame the educated of the majority. Blame the source that is upto mischief inspite of best of education.

Can you imagine what will happen in Pakistan if a Hindu is involved in the blast. I think this should have been tackled in 1947 itself when India should have been a Hindu nation only. Now nothing can be done.

Mr. Iyer,

You notion of "Only Hindu" state would have brought more problems in India than they are now. There is no Nation on earth having the people of only one faith. The world has become very small. Hindus are seen all over the world right from Australia to US to Gulf. You can not remain in isolation. Blaming all the Indian muslims for such terrorist acts shows your immaturity to look upon such problmes in a proper perspective.

and why don't you say same things while kashmiris were thrown out from kashmir by this minority community....only you can prove yourself...majority will always be suspicious...

Hi Nazneen,

Have any bomb blasts taken place in Gujarat since the riots of 2002?

Thinking pattern? Give us a break, will you or just go back inside that burkha were you are supposed to be. I'm assuming you are a broad and will keep it civil. Your religion sure has some thinking pattern, doesn't it? Bloody fanatics. Look at global terrorism and its reason is singular - Islam. You folks have problem with Hindus, Christians, Jews, Shias...anything non-Muslim (or is it Sunni to be precise?) It's not your fault, it's ours. Bapu wanted the damn turds to stay here with us post-partition. The stink has now become a poison. Jai Hind!

Your statement do not contain anything against the real terrorists. You are repeatedly pointing to Gujarat which happed many years ago. Peaceful co-existence is not only the responsibility of majority but minority should also give their contribution. If they continue to shelter the extremists this type of incidents will happen. Simply blaming majority will not help.
