Why to be impatient?
by Bishwa NathSingh on May 13, 2008 08:49 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It seems that the opposition especially congress party is in hurry to see Mayawati out from U.P. politics & rule though they had ruled that state for many years. It is too short a period to overall judge performance of a democratically elected Government there headed by Mayawati. It is not very clearly understood as why they are impatient & in hurry when they are not in position to form an alternative Govt. there to replace her. Is it not a game of power politics? Yes, it seems very much true. If the congress chief has any allegations against Mayawati, he is at full liberty to hand it over to the Rajyapal of U.P. to get it thoroughly probed in & do the needful. Let us hope what comes next in the best interest of that state!

yes, but it is the job of opposition to identify and highlight the ills in the current administration.

BJP should do the same at the national level and create a list of things where the govt. has gone wrong e.g. the reservation issue, price rise, nuclear deal, Afzal Guru, naxalites, kashmir, nandigram, unemployment, development etc. and put their own stand on such issues.

Doing so will make people aware of how BJP would tackle these issues, should they come to power.

ha ha ha ... congress has accomplished a lot for India in those 50 years ... yes, more could have been achieved, but it's foolhardy to think that BJP or JD or SJP could have done better when they blew up every opportunity they ever got.

I think the mess that we are in (if we are in a mess), is a result of our own mistakes and not perse creteated by the congress party.

besides, congress is doing the job of an opposition party - doing exactly what is expected of an opposition party. BJP should do the same at the center.

India only improved after the decline of congress party or better say Nehru/gandhi's...more so after 1991. When congress was at its best, India was at its worst almost on verge on bankruptcy with neither growth or development.

Another major contrubution was killing creativity in individuals through doggish school system and government.

what do you say about the kick in the butt we gave to pakistan in 1971 and its division in 1972? wasn't that achieved by Indira Gandhi.

what did the Janata party achieve from 1977 to 1980 besides being busy in infighting?

Rajiv gandhi's impetus to move with the world in IT revolution has put India on the IT services map of the world ... the nation owes a lot to the leadership of the Nehru-Gandhi family.

But they never teach giving credit in RSS shakhas ... al they teach is to hate people to the extent that you begin to hate yopurself one day when you look into a mirror.

Loan Shark well said. Blame game is what these losers in the forum play. Blame Congress for this, Muslims for that, Mughals for this, Manmohan Singh for that - c'mon - BJP was in power for a while - what happened there - Saale Coffin chor - desh ke jawaanon ko bhi nahin choda. We are a corrupt society with a lot of hang ups about religion, colour, caste and creed - that is our problem. Corruption has expanded because we are willing to put up with it.

You are right, Yash. When we try to blame others as if other are coming from outer space to do bad things to us. We forget they are one of us only. A corrupt judge, a corrupt IAS officer and a corrupt minister often come from the same family. What is the point blaming each other?

The 1971 war was idiotic. It made Pakistan compact and strong and created a new more dangerous enemy on our eastern flank. The only congressman who actually benefited India was P.V. Narasimha Rao, who liberalised the economy in teeth of massive opposition, opened up links with Israel, Created the Look East Policy. And for his pains, he was humiliated and booted out !

Ajay Kumar,
Why are you so much against caste based reservation? Is caste not a reality in India? You live and die in your caste and it can not be changed under any cirmustances. Also, caste is not merely a classification of people in different groups. It has an hierarchy where a small nuber of population is at the upper levels of society and on the other hand a vast population sufferes at the lower levels.

How can caste be wiped out if it is identifier and qualifier for entry everywhere? Unless the term caste is not used by government in any of its documents, caste system will not come to end. Unless the socalled downtrodden are raised in skills on par with socalled forward classes, they will not truly grow. Till such time reservations continue, this is not going to happen.

May be yes, may be not! but do you have alternate solution. Why cant you appreciate the fact that these peopledo not have the resources that city bred and middlw class indians have. I sure economics and political power changes the respect.

however creamy layer should be deleted of all reservations with excepion to politics. The issue of family politics have to be dealt in a different and this topic covers whole india

File an FIR, send a copy to HP.
File a Case in the Consumer court and inform HP about the same.
Make sure your facts and figures are valid, else you will end up in trouble

UP Is not worth living
by Corporate training and consulting solutions on May 13, 2008 06:05 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why is UP not worth living.....

guess ....guess .... guess....

becoz there is no quality of life , law and order problems sometimes and unemployment . No good MNC's or manufacturing sector inductries and more than that is the DEHAATI crowd.

The same parties will remain forever - SP or BSP and will do nothing for the common man except fill in their coffers with millions of money and gold and get unauthorised construction here and there to fill their common means

Mayawati's First year of Misrule in UP
by jamsheed abumohammed on May 13, 2008 05:03 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is total chaos in UP and for the past one year under Mayawathi Rule, people of call classes suffered including Dalits whose honour she supposed to protect. She has devoted less time on development and more time on building monuments in the name of Kanshiram and Ambedkar that wasting public money. The best tribute to these leaders is doing yeoman service to Dalits which these leaders held so dear. Instead of doing this, she started a campaign against her opponents and belittling their achievment. She is enjoying brute majority that was the mistake made by the people of UP. They will soon realise this and throw her out. Even among her party cadres there is growing dissent and disenchatment owing to her high handed behaviour. The roads and schools in rural UP are in appalling state and no effort taken to promote rural schemes to alleviate the sufferings of the people. There are more suide deaths of farmers as alleged by Congress and she is harbouring and sheltering all party members with criminal background. This would be her undoing and soon people would throw her out.For Congress and SP if they join together, they can be a force to reckon with as BJP has been relegated to the background. This is her only achievement as she deciphered BJP and all Muslims thank her for this achievment. Muslims too are not happy as she had done little to this community. It is still not too late for her, if she really wants to win the heart and soul of the people, she should do more to people.

diffrent parties same agenda

Take any party in india it has only one hidden agenda to have power to fulfill the greeds of its elected members. All this Ho Haa of the opposition parties is only to try and plan for there chance to get elected next time to do the same type of deeds to fulfill there own pockets .There is not even one party in india whoose first priority is for the welfare and developement of the country and its people without thinking for their personal gains. We will have to wait till such a party is formed which has selfless interest to serve the people of this country . Please keep praying that god will one day create such people in India.

Just politics or the role of opposition
by Loan Shark on May 13, 2008 04:06 AM  Permalink

I think that this chargesheet thingy is funny but other than that I think congress is playing the role it ought to play - that of the opposition.

Mayawati should respond to these allegations - point by point and then BJP should create its own charge sheet.

I think BJP should create a charge sheet aginst the UPA govt in Delhi titled "Bharat ka bunna Bharatta"
