BJP up by 11, Congress and JD down 5 and 6. The first phase was mostly in congress strongholds. Keeping in mind that NDTV is a tool of foreign powers against Hindu nationalist BJP party, the swing may be more than projected.

beware of foreign computer hacks working for to tamper evm to help congress win.
The first phase of the Karnataka elections is over and 89 of the total 224 seats have voted. According to the NDTV exit poll, major gain is seen for the BJP while the Congress has been hit badly.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is winning 14 seats in Bangalore, which is a swing of four per cent in favour of the saffron party.
The Congress is winning 10 seats in the city and that is four per cent swing against the party while there has not been any vote swing for the Janata Dal-Secular, which is winning four seats in Bangalore.
The exit polls excluding Bangalore also show BJP taking a slight gain and the Congress receiving a setback compared to last Assembly polls.
The BJP is winning 17 seats, as votes swing in favour of the saffron party by three per cent. Whereas the Congress, with two per cent vote swing against it, is winning only 13 seats.
The JDS, on the other hand is winning 26 seats and the vote swing against the party is two per cent.

Well said this these Impootent guys LIKE RAJDEEP etc are Conngress LICKERS..........this RAJDEER Will even SELL his MOTHER if he gets money.....SHAMELESS INDIAN media(CNN, NDTV, AJ TAK etc)...hiring these Crooked People should have DEATH Sentence.
An awful waste of space and money. That's what the non-voters are. They should be kicked out of Bangalore for bringing ruin and disrepute to our good old Bengaluru. Can the taxman go after the non-voters? They probably did not vote bcoz they have black money. Can the Lok Ayukta go after them bcoz the non-voters are possibly corrupt if not morally? Or can the Finance Minister impose a 80% tax on the earnings of the non-voters? It is high time that such non-social elements are given the boot and given a real hard lesson. NBWmY

There is a much better option. If a voter is not voted in any two consecutive election (MLA, MP, Local polls) his or her Voting right should be suspended till he continuously vote for 3 elections. You may ask what good this can make. Well the person suspended from voting should pay 10% penalty on all government services. It is not important to whom that person vote they have to go to a voting booth and to register thier vote even if they do not like anyone should make thier votes as invalid but has to go and register his / her vote. Most urban voters who ignore this right is the one who uses 80% of the government services and crib about government inefficiency while they themselves being impotent to change things when given an oppurtunity. What a waste?
Karnataka is far from good infrastructure or agriculture or industrial growth as long as people of this state are divided about what they want !! They will continously rely upon IT for decades to come. As Outsorcing fire crackers fade, people will realize what they really wanted.
I feel disappointed....If Bangalore cannot go to cast their Vote, they shouldn;t be talking about good infrastructure.... If you cannot take out time to vote....u cannot get leaders who can give you good Bangalore... You will suffer and hence those who casted will also suffer......

Very true... it shows that people are only willing to complain and absolutely DO NOTHING about it.. if they are so lazy and indifferent not to go and vote that too on a holiday, even GOD cannot help us.... we are going to see another fractured mandate and a probable re-election in another 20 months...

You may be a BJP supporter, but you should know that even in Gujrat 10% of Muslims voted for BJP. It would be nice if you don't make this election into a religious issue.

I think even this time we may not get the stable govt. For this the media is fully responsible, insted of guiding the peoples to vote a single party which can give the stable govt, media is diverting the voters mind. The media is blameing all political parties and their leaders. media is only thinking for its publicity and making money. Media should not advertize any political partys advertizement but it is doing so.... Earlier we were having only DD chanels, and i remember that they always used to guide the people to vote for majority and for stable govt. "FIRST THE MEDIA SHOULD CHANGE TO REFORM THE COUNTRY".

karnataka means not only Lingayats and Vokkaligas. Bleady you are the only to finalised then your community sangha might vote in the name of Vokkaliga or lingayat. there are other communities equally to you. Even you people will think there are only Vokkaligas, Lingayats and Muslims then we like people are not kannadigas and not belongs to karnataka. Then we will do against karnataka. No one Vokkaliga or Lingayat won't stop us. First shut up all the News paper and Media should talk on Vokkaliga or Lingayat.

MODI....BJP (someone pls communicate this suggestion to MODI or BJP mgmt) by Sw VO on May 10, 2008 11:42 PM | Hide replies
MODI/ BJP please Learn from Mistakes (Poor Polling)
Poor polling will only help Impotentss like Conggress/LEFTs as OBCS and BCs come in LOTS and changing the ratio...adding that our some illeterate foolish HINDUs are divided ammong diffrent parties. BJP will be hurt if POlling is LOW.
MODI please take NOTE:- BJP and future PM MODI should make Voting compulsory once they comes to power in Center next year.....They may give eCard to every citizen like PAN card so people can vote online as well. But Voting has to be compulsory...!
This will give true result....this will help BJP largely.......and these Impotents like Conggress and Lefft wd we Wiped from HISTORY as they will stand no Chance IF OUR Young, Educated, Rich, Middle class, Common man and Women all come to VOTE.
SOMEONE pls communicate this to MODI or BJP Heads.
