Let's hope all the big talking IT guys went and voted this time and not ignored a very important responsibility that all educated and professional people have. IT personnel are a significant portion of this group.

Anywhere in India, IT people are pampered lot, you cannot expect them to understand the plight of common man. In fact, anybody who does not discharge the constitutional obligation of casting vote is to be punished and it should start from the educated IT people. Impounding one month's salary to begin with shall definitely send the right message

NDTV or CNN-IBN - Whom to Believe ?
by Sanjay Reddy on May 11, 2008 07:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We have to take Exit Polls with a pinch of salt - CNN-IBN predicted a Congress gain in its pre poll analysis [no exit poll was done yesterday] and now NDTV Exit Poll shows a gain for BJP. Considering that both the pollsters are hardcore pro Congress Establishment i think some sort of balancing act will now be done by CNN-IBN.

That BJP has to be given the chance is evident on the ground - with terrorism, lack of development clearly showing up - a clear mandate to BJP is called for after having tested JD-S and Congress. I hope the next two regions where BJP is far stronger will deliver a clear verdict.

Do not believe these exit polls, they invariably turn-out to be wrong, because the people who analyse samples are invariably one sided. Wait till 25.08.2008 and you will know who is going to form the government in Karnataka. Hope Modi's magic will work for Karnataka this time.

Poor voting
by Rajendra Nayak on May 11, 2008 06:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India as a country is going towards political, economical and social disaster. This is clearly seen and read from the face of the masses who know the situation. Simply saying that economy is growing at 11.8%, no poverty and excess of food is all fooling the public. The fact is that the people are just fed up with the system and situation, because whosoever comes nothing is going to happen because reality is different and press reports ae different. The present sickness of the whole country is
1. A huge price rise of necessaries. People cannot eat electronic gadgets which are dumped.
2. Total lawlessness. People kill anybody, vehciles bring down the population everyday, kidneys are stolen and scandals with scams are the order of the day.Nobody is caught and even if caught the poor have no capacity to fight the mighty.
3. Crop failure is a reality but departmental reports say bumper crop. Just enter any rural area & one will know how many farmers in the country are ready to sell kidneys and commit suicide.
4. Metros, Urban and semi urban roads and places are full of loan vehicles. Many are owning four to five vehicles. Roads are congested. Sometimes one can reach other cities by expressways but cannot cross one end of the city to the other end by road and the other ringing saying that he has reached the outskirts of other city.
5. Health of the rural and the poor is a totally gone case. It appears that we want to reduce the population by not providing facilities.

MODI....BJP (someone pls communicate this suggestion to MODI or BJP mgmt)
by scorpio on May 11, 2008 05:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

MODI/ BJP please Learn from Mistakes (Poor Polling)

Poor polling will only help Impotentss like Conggress/LEFTs as OBCS and BCs come in LOTS and changing the ratio...adding that our some illeterate foolish HINDUs are divided ammong diffrent parties. BJP will be hurt if POlling is LOW.

MODI please take NOTE:-
BJP and future PM MODI should make Voting compulsory once they comes to power in Center next year.....They may give eCard to every citizen like PAN card so people can vote online as well.
But Voting has to be compulsory...!

This will give true result....this will help BJP largely.......and these Impotents like Conggress and Lefft wd we Wiped from HISTORY as they will stand no Chance IF OUR Young, Educated, Rich, Middle class, Common man and Women all come to VOTE.

SOMEONE pls communicate this to MODI or BJP Heads.

Regards,
TRUE INDIAN
