by mahabodhi on May 10, 2008 10:08 PM  Permalink

All members here say that why many have not voted! That it should be made compulsory! There are many for and agianst hwether it should be made necesary!
It is also democracy whether one votes or do not want to votes! Why enforce! In India specially in Western UP the Jats do not allow Dalits to vote!Has any one talked about that! And has any one bothered whether in some areas Dalits are not aloowed to vote!
"The next time they give you all that civic bullshit about voting, keep in mind that Hitler was elected in a full, free democratic election%u201D

Sheerly an act of a disgruntled politician
by mallaiah anchoori on May 10, 2008 09:40 PM  Permalink

The act of the fish out of water was anticipated and there is no wonder in Das's quitting the party and joining another party which must have promised some thing if it comes to power. Disgruntled politicians like Das who are akin to a tiger habituated to eating human flesh cannot live without power and like a bad workman who always complains about his tools, instead of chosing to serve people, try to find some or other pretext to leave the party when it does not suit and accomodate them.I am sure that this unscrupulous guy would not fit in his new party also and like many in the past he would come back to to Congress with all apologies once again. If he knows that he knew that he had to leave Congress one day or other why at all he accepted ministryship?-only to make money. Now that it is gone,he makes a hue and cry in the name of coterie-this and that.He does not also have the guts to blame Sonia or P.M since he would like to keep his options in tact for reentry into the party. If his grievance is not against the party,he should have remained in it & fought instead of searching another party of a different ideology(ideologies of all the parties,of course are same-to fool the people). There should be a law with strict enforcement banning such party changes by power mongering politicians-at least in case of those removed from their positions.Other politicians who lost their berths also are likely to follow Das in their bid to threaten the party and search for other inlets.

BSP may be future, king maker in India
by kasi viswanadham on May 10, 2008 09:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

May be some people have long vision.
Before elections and after losing power the same 'method' is adopted by many politicians. Nothing to learn from this person too. Some news to his followers and some worry to his earlier party. Nothing more.

coterie
by Aneel on May 10, 2008 06:06 PM  Permalink

If someone is the part of coterie, then no issues, they might ask what coterie? which coterie? if someone is not the part of the coterie then he criticizes, and speaks about ideologies? Basically everyone thinks about themselves.

Price rise and Govt failure
by Awdhesh Kumar on May 10, 2008 04:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Govt policies and actions are responsible for very high inflation in the country as of now.Rise in crude prices is said to be major reason in price exclation. But what about a poor man who is not able to meet his two ends meet? Buffer stock of foodgrains, strong PDS, timely control on food gamling etc should have been taken care of in time.
Elections are on the way and every political party need money very badly. It is being raised at the cost of a common consumer.Traders, politicians and middle men are beneficiary at the cost of poor public in the country.
Bajpayee Govt had to resign on onion price rise. Why not MMS Govt also?

Idiot, Price rise is not local to India but a world wide problem now, In US we were paying 9 dollars for rice and 12 for wheat now rice is 25 and wheat is 20. First read world news before writing comments and dont blame govt for everything starting from water not flushing down your drain to US nuclear deal.

When shunted out of the Govt.Akhilesh Das cries wolf.He could have been booted out earlier also but Mr.Das should count his blessings for having not been kicked out from the assigned job where he lacked sense of resposibility and fared badly.

Akhilesh finally came to know the truth about congress and finally he came to know that there is no place for men in between spineless people who do not have the guts to stand and say that i am an Indian and the Chairperson too should be an Indian.

Buddhadeb who?
Are we Indians jealous by birth? Instead of leg-pulling why can't we suggest a solution to the numerous problems our country is facing. Politics, now-a-days, is a mad-mad world for the disgruntled and insignificant politicians of little importance. They are the rotten lot and dumping ground is the best place suited for them.
